The lower stars for specifics are due to an incredibly uncomfortable conversation with their Concierge when I was asking for assistance with a private transfer from Florence to Sorrento and he literally laughed at me and then started talking negatively about his ex-wife and women in general. The hotel itself is in a picture perfect location, gorgeous view from the room, very nice and clean, and recently renovated bathroom. Just do your best to not have to speak with the concierge longer than the check in process. (All other staff was very kind)

Disappointing experience

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay at this hotel was unfortunately quite disappointing, despite the location being very convenient. To start, the receptionist Marcello(Marcel) took a photo of our passports with his personal cellphone which we thought was unusual. Also, he was very rude and unapproachable. When we did ask for help, he was unprofessional and dismissive. Therefore when we noticed our safe wasn’t working, we didn’t feel comfortable asking him for more help. The room had a strange odour especially in the bathroom. Also, the shutters could not be adjusted and the room had no natural light. Overall, the lack of professionalism was frustrating and disappointing, and we wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Our room was on the fourth floor and was small. The room had several broken items: the bathroom pocket doors were very hard to close from the inside, we had to help each other, soap holder in the shower kept falling off, bedside table had a broken leg, and the safe's batteries were dead. We also had minimal shelving/closet space. The view of the Duomo was obstructed by the roof as we were on the attic level.
