The management company did a great job with communication. The property is in a good location. It is not a private beach and a good half mile walk to an access. The pool and pool area are nice. The house is set up well. It worked well for our family gathering. It does need some improvements. The property has great potential. Most of the bedding is very worn and there were no extra blankets, there was no soap or shampoo. (The management company did bring 4 (very small bars). The cushions on the outdoor patio either were very worn or non-existing. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood.

Nightmare

It was a nightmare from the checkin process. House need upgrades, ant traps lying around ( my daughter is 1 and found 2), pool does not stay heated(despite paying) towels worn down, itchy sheets, very dust, nosey neighbors. I received approval from Val and have a birthday dinner outside as long as it wasn’t more then 20 guest. She also, let me know it was ok for to smoke or vape on the patio (which was random) She asked me to contact her to pick up tras. On a day before check out, the decorator pick up her items. I was not there at the time and PM admitted to watching me leave. PM was there and started yelling at her. I’m assuming she was there to Pick up the trash bags. The Decorator informed her it was no party it was dinner that my parents cooked. The PM continue to call the decorator a lier. She explained she just decorated the tables for me and my family. The PM continue to belittle her making her extremely uncomfortable. She yell at her and told her to not touch anything because she was taking pictures and force her to give her business card to her. She made racist and derogatory remarks about the quality of guest who booked the rental.She was going on about me and our guest we left the place smelling with smoke and liquor, but house was spotless. Val arrived to pick up the trash and to talk about us to the decorator. There is a clear communication issue. I feel bad for the owner, the house needs better management. So much more to say. Save yourself the headache.

Hi Cherinna, we always appreciate honest and constructive feedback, but after talking with the homeowner, we'd like to clarify the following:- We have ant traps beneath the refrigerator and dishwasher, discreetly placed and not easily accessible, as a precaution due to the prevalence of ants in Florida. We also maintain monthly pest control visits to ensure the home remains protected from these issues.- We've investigated your comment about the pool heat and confirmed that the heater functioned properly throughout your stay, ensuring the pool remained heated to a comfortable temperature.- We've addressed your cleanliness concerns with our local management team. They found that the towels were in good condition, the sheets were clean, and the home was dust-free. Upon your arrival, we checked in with you, and you shared your satisfaction with the home. We didn't receive any further communication from you during your stay to address any concerns. - We followed up with Val, who shared that she never approved more than 10 guests. Our property's maximum occupancy, as per Pompano Beach density laws, is stated in the listing and pre-stay information for guests' awareness both before and after booking.- Val clarified that she never endorsed smoking or vaping whatsoever. This aligns with our house rules, which our team strictly adheres to for all reservations. After your checkout, the property had a smoke odor, which has now been fully aired out.- Despite agreeing to our rental agreement, which prohibits parties, you hosted a large event during your stay. You brought in a party planner and shared the access code to the home enabling the addition of tables, chairs, and decorations. The house rules are stated in the rental agreement, listing, and pre-stay communication. These rules are in place for the safety of all guests, to follow local laws, and to maintain peace with our neighbors. - Our team politely reiterated our house rules when they became aware of the issues and confirmed with certainty that no racist or derogatory remarks were made.- The home was left in unsatisfactory conditions after your checkout, which required us to hire an outside company to remove all of the trash left behind. While we want our guests to enjoy their stay here, we also need them to respect our house rules and treat the property as their own.We work hard to provide an outstanding guest experience, and we look forward to hosting many satisfied guests.

No Private Beach

Read the reviews. There are 2 separate property mgmt companies. Evolve does the advertising and payments and Short Stay Florida handles the maintenance and cleaning. Our number one issue is no private beach access. The reason we chose this property is we have stayed in this neighborhood before and know it has private beach access. It seems 6 months ago the HOA eliminated it for rentals. Evolve still has it listed as private beach access. Had we known this, we wouldn’t have rented.There is a public beach access 1/2 mile away. The first floor is serviceable and the kitchen is very nice. But the upstairs carpet probably needed to be replaced more than 10 years ago. There is an overall musty smell upstairs. The walls have tons of patches and touch ups that don’t match. The linens are very old and need to be replaced. Sliding door sticks badly and the glass is separating from the frame. As for security, a swift pull would open the doors. Several toilets are loose, sink handle in bathroom is off, At least one TV doesn’t work, Water heater in master doesn’t last long. Lots of maintenance has gone undone. We did not contact them during our stay. It’s not like they’d send a paint crew or replace the carpet while we were there. Just be advised of the actual condition of the house. Our Short Stay Florida rep (Val) was very nice and the house was clean. There are 3 A/C units and we were able to keep the house cool. Didn’t notice any slow drains as others have mentioned.

Great getaway

Overall, this house is HUGE and was a great place to stay near the beach. It’s about a 7 minute walk and the house had lots of chairs and floats to use at the pool and beach. Kitchen is well stocked with anything need to prepare and cook meals and grill worked great. Check in and out was super easy and they were very helpful! We left my daughter’s stuffed toys on accident and they shipped them to us. I just sent the shipping cost. The upstairs is a little on the warm side, but has fans in most rooms. Bring bug spray as it’s Florida and lots of mosquitoes outside! Really had a wonderful long weekend and would recommend the house!

Hothouse filled with mold and mildew!!

Master bedroom AC did not work! We complained about it since day 1 to property manager. On the last night, no one could sleep upstairs . The only place that had cool A/c was in the family room. That’s where our family, who we’re staying upstairs , slept -on the floor. Val, the property manager, agreed that Master was like a sauna for all 4 days, and Friday , upstairs A/C wasn’t working. “Evolve “ from Colorado, said the A/c was fine. They were obviously not in the house. Also, the carpet was damp and it smelled like mildew!! There were water stains on the ceiling on various locations. We have pictures documenting this. Also, we paid for the pool to be heated , and complained to Val because it only was heated for 1 day. The floor in the family room was filthy, and there were cigarette butts by the pool chairs and some in the pool. The toilet at the top of the stairs was shooting out water until Val came to fix it. The A/c filters were filthy. Shelves were dusty Silverware in kitchen dirty Light above the bar was flashing ( Val fixed that) Outside light did not work until Val fixed it.

We have central air conditioning throughout the home and there are fans to move the air around in some of the rooms. Nonetheless, you let us know about the concern with the a/c and took action immediately. We had a technician at the property as soon as we were able, while you were in residence. We've addressed your concerns so that you would receive the exceptional service we strive to provide -The air conditioner does work well and was able to keep the condo cooled to our guest's liking, however, there are signs throughout the home that the a/c cannot go below a certain temperature, otherwise, it will malfunction and shut down. -Unfortunately, the pool heater was out due to a power surge beyond our control, but we're sorry to hear this impacted your stay. We hope the generous measures taken to make things right helped make up for some of the inconvenience -We use a cleaning service to have the home professionally cleaned before each guest's arrival. We checked the home for any mold or mildew issues and found no evidence -All the concerns with the home have been addressed. and is working properly, so we can ensure our high standards are being met and exceeded -We feel we provided you with great hospitality and were very responsive to your requests and questions We appreciate your feedback, and we are confident that future guests will continue to enjoy five-star stays here!

Great place for a beach vacation

We had a family reunion for our Dad’s celebration of life. The pictures accurately depict the home. It’s lovely inside and out. The outdoor patio area is covered and close to the pool. Enough bedrooms and beds to accommodate our family of 8 (4 couples and 1 infant). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach is a quick walk away. We found the entrance from the southern gate provided the best beach and swim option (less seaweed on the ground & in the water). Al- in-all a wonderful weekend.

Beautiful Spacious Home, Needs a little Improvement

The home is lovely. It has a lot of open space and seating which is great for large families. The pool area is the absolute best! It has a nice open kitchen conducive to cooking. The master bedrooms upstairs and downstairs are great. The other rooms are just standard, yet comfortable rooms with televisions. The property could use a few upgrades and do a little more than just the bare minimum to ensure guests are comfortable. It's an older home. The TVs did not have apps like Netflix. The showers did not have racks to place your toiletries. No mirrors in a few of the bedrooms. You really have to be sure you bring everything you need with you. We had to buy certain kitchen items, like a pitcher, and leave it there because they didn't have one. The host could also improve communications, I contacted them a week in advance for questions so we could pack properly. I had to follow up two other times and still did not get a response. I never got my questions answered. Once it was time to check in, they were communicative, very friendly and accommodating. Overall a good experience and I would recommend this place for people who are fine without the perks other places offer. Last thing the private beach is nice but isn't exactly private and a few blocks walk away.

So lovely!

We had a lovely visit at this home! The location was stunning, the pool and home were very nice, clean and fun. The BBQ is a little old and in need of some TLC, but everything was just perfect for us. The home manager is a dream, easy to communicate with and super attentive. HIGHLY recommend!
