Beautiful, luxurious lodge, located on/at THE BRIXEN IVY RANCH in Galena/Elizabeth Illinois. 15 foot swim spa! Large fire pit. Nine hole golf course on site. Fishing ponds, Farm animals, Baseball, soccer, fields. Volleyball court. The property is located in the midst of large rolling hills and has several mile views all round. The lodge contains a huge great room, with a 22 foot high fireplace and floor to ceiling windows all around. There are SEVEN King master bedrooms with en suite bathrooms plus two extra bunk rooms (sleeps another 8) There are three kitchens, and one large game/pool and ping pong table/television room. This listing is for the 10,000 square foot "Main lodge" only. For more than 20 people you can add the nearby guest house (sunset cottage)......those two houses would hold 30, and is a separate listing on VRBO. (#885507). This working cattle ranch near Galena Illinois and Eagle Ridge Resort, is a very unique property. You will have passes to the Galena Territory owners owners club, with fitness, indoor/outdoor pools, horseback riding pontoon boat rentals, tennis, gym etc..... Gorgeous main great room with impressive 22 foot hight stone fire places. Master bedroom upstairs has amazing views with a private exterior deck, high wood beamed ceilings and the bathroom contains a large two person jetted tub, and a spacious wrap around deck overlooking 300 acres of rolling hills. Another fantastic feature is our very own REGULATION LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL "FIELD OF DREAMS!" We have llamas, miniature horses, goats, peacocks, turkeys, ducks cattle and calves. Lots of trails. Two fishing ponds with bass. Out door fire pits and bon fires available. We do small weddings. Close to Chestnet ski resort and downtown Galena

Perfect place for a large family gathering

The ranch is a unique gem. It was wonderful to have the space to spend time and relax with everyone coming in from 4 states and 6 cities. We could not have found a more lovely, comfortable and spacious place for our gathering. The views, animals, game room, and terraces provided everyone so many options for entertainment or quiet time as desired. Just be sure to bring your walking shoes to find each other up and down the 3 flights and halls of the ranch, or to enjoy a nice long walk in the peaceful surroundings.

Oldies but Goodies Bachelorette Party

Wonderful weekend at this beautiful location and home. Plenty of space, bedrooms, bathrooms for everyone. Spa tub was great. Walking on property and seeing all animals was fun. Wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely return - so perfect for large groups. Joe, the Ranch Hand was great as well!

Perfect for a family gathering!

Another fantastic family gathering at Brixen Ivy! 17 adults and 8 children, ranging in age from almost 1 to 84, spread between the main lodge and the Sunset Cottage, and everyone had a wonderful time and plenty of space to spread out in. A huge well-stocked kitchen as well as two additional smaller kitchens made it easy to keep everyone well-fed and keep everyone's favorite beverages chilled. We were enchanted by the amazing views from the giant wrap-around porch, and the kids had a blast visiting the goats, llamas, cows, turkeys and ducks and running around on the baseball field. Adults enjoyed having many walking trails to choose from, and we all loved the fire pit and the swim spa. Family gatherings at Brixen Ivy have become become a treasured tradition in our family.

Great Stay

Everything about the Brixen Ivy Ranch was amazing. We had a group of friends for a local wedding stay and everyone was blown away. The property manager Joe was helpful and just a great guy all around. Would definatley stay again!

House was the perfect size for our annual Friendsgiving. The addition of the guest house allowed everyone to have their own private bedroom and bath. The extra kitchens made cooking for 20 people east and not stressed for oven space. Def a great place for large groups. The view of the valley was amazing. Def recommend for large groups! Thanks

Family Reunion

My family with 7 couples, 3 singles and 2 little ones spent a week enjoying luxurious ranch life. The house is absolutely beautiful, there is everything you could possibly need. The views are incredible and the one thing I didn’t know we would be getting was an awesome night sky, no light pollution at all!!! We walked the ranch daily and really enjoyed all the animals ....cows, horses , goats, llamas, ducks, chicken, and a few cats. Miss Kitty will melt your heart as she sits patiently waiting outside the door, or sits in your lap as you enjoy the fire pit in the evening. Some of our group were impressed by the local golf courses, while others could have spent days touring and shopping in idyllic downtown Galena. Mark the owner was easy to get in contact with and ask questions of prior to our stay and Joe the ranch hand greeted us on arrival and was able to help with anything we needed. He even tried to put in a new refrigerator in the kitchen midweek, because the old one had a few problems..... but we had already filled with food and had learned to live with it. There were 2 other full size refrigerators!!! The only minor complaint would be that it’s time for high dusting ( please don’t look at my house😂) Thank you for allowing this property to be available for others to enjoy the area.

Spacious couples retreat

A long weekend for 8 couples. The house’s accommodations were perfect. Plenty of bedrooms & baths. The main kitchen and FR was our main hangout & provided enough sitting space for all. The additional kitchens preserved as an overflow for items needing refrigeration. The outdoors is sprawling! We walked the acreage, visited the animals, fished, had a bonfire, & hung out on the well-equipped deck. Everyone agreed— we’d stay again!

Great experience!

This home was perfect for our extended family. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Multiple bedrooms and baths. Nice size kitchen with all the utensils you need. Large dining and family room. Large multi level deck with awesome views. Game room on the lower level. Kids really enjoyed the game room on the lower level. Owner and Joe were very responsive with any questions or concerns. Plenty of activities on site. Highly recommend!

The home is massive and in a lovely property, but furnishings were old and things could have been cleaner. But the golf course, views and friendly ranch hand added a great vibe!

Wonderful family week to celebrate 50th anniversary

Our four children and their spouses and our 12 grandchildren spent the week together to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The house is so spacious and beautiful! We had plenty of room for everyone to sleep, make group meals and play games in the downstairs recreation room. We loved the animals on the property, the open area to fly kites, play ball, hike and explore. It was a wonderful time and great for family reunions! Definitely a place I would highly recommend!

Spectacular Property

We had a group of family and friends stay here from February 24 to 27 for our daughter's 30th birthday celebration! We couldn't have picked a better house or location. Everything was clean, plenty of comfortable beds and bathrooms. Three kitchens which we mostly just used the main floor kitchen. The kitchen has Everything you could possibly need. It snowed the night we arrived and Joe the ranch hand was at the house first thing in the morning plowing the driveway and making sure we had everything we needed. He was so friendly and helpful during our entire stay! We definitely will be back in the future!! The owners were great at communicating and making sure we were happy during our stay! Great place for a large group!

Beautiful location with an amazing view

We had a great time! It was a lovely property that was perfect for our needs: a relaxing weekend with a group friends who wanted to spend some time in Galena, some time tubing down a river, and doing lots of delicious cooking. The property manager Joe was super helpful and nice, and the place had everything we needed in terms of towels, linens, and plenty of dishes and pans. I did bring a fair amount of kitchen supplies, but that was because we made a lot of cakes and other fancy food! Other highlights are the baseball field, nearby Goat Yoga place, and the best thing: an incredibly friendly barn cat named Miss Kitty!
