The house was lovely and cozy while also being spacious and providing for everything we needed! We especially enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, and spacious rooms. We appreciated how communicative the hosts were from the time of booking, providing a detailed house guide and replying promptly when we had inquiries during our stay. The location was quiet and serene and 20 minutes from downtown Galena.

Clean, loved that each bedroom had a bathroom, screened in porch beautiful, used the hot tub every day! Kitchen had all the necessary utensils, pans, crock pot. Literally our only suggestion is showerheads with more water pressure.

The RELAXING RETREAT was just as advertised. The screen room was a wonderful place to sit back and enjoy being surrounded by nature. Beds were comfortable and the en suite with each bedroom provided the desired privacy. The kitchen provided adequate extras and was well designed for cooking and eating together.

This was an excellent choice for our family holiday. Part of our time we did experience heavy rains which held us back from using the yard and enjoying the night sky, but, the daylight hours at the Owners Club were perfect. Nice beds, towels, laundry, and kitchen set up. We are already ready to come back!

This property was an excellent stay for our family get together. The washer/dryer and upstairs tub not working were a minor inconvenience, but we did receive communication from the host that they were down. Our family has been meeting every summer in Galena for at least six years now and we would definitely rent this house again!

What a wonderful place to slow down with my family and regroup for a fun time. This was the perfect spot to host our family get away. We had ample room for all, plus the large screened in porch, dining table/game night table and hot tub were favorite spots for everyone. Thank again!

Wonderful Vacation!

We have been going to Galena for many Summers and this house, by far, was the cleanest and most well maintained home we have been in. I really liked the design aesthetic inside as well. My only (small complaint) is that their are only 6 passes to the pool. Everywhere else we have stayed have always had 8 passes. Fees to get into the pool are only 5, but that adds up after multiple days. Overall, this house and communicating with the owners was exceptional! I highly recommend.

Wonderful stay in the woods.

We came for a get away as a family. We had plenty of room for 10 people. We enjoyed the screened in porch where we spent a considerable about of time. Also the outside fire pit was stocked with well seasoned wood that started quickly. Communications with the owners was quick and they did everything they could to help us have a great stay. If we come back to the area we will stay here again.

Home Sweet Home

Our group truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The location was perfect and just a short 20 minute drive to Main Street. We loved the front porch, the screened in back porch, the fire pit and absolutely loved being able to cook meals together in the kitchen. 4 ladies went together and we each had our own room and bathroom. We also enjoyed the privacy of the home with its beautiful sunsets and really enjoyed the hot tub. It had everything we needed and we were so comfortable with the communication we had with Andrew. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

HS Girlfriend Getaway

We loved this property. It was so serene and quiet. Our highlights of the home were the lovely enclosed porch, fire-pit and hot tub. The owners provided wood which many do not do. We loved coming "home" each day after exploring Galena and the surrounding area to an evening of preparing great meals and just relaxing. I would highly recommend this property. The property was just what the 6 of us wanted. We are four "mature" women who annually get together somewhere in the Midwest. We enjoyed our stay at Sara and Andrew's place. They were very responsive to our needs and followed up quickly. The location was fine and we certainly got to be with nature! The home has all the amenities in the bathrooms and kitchen areas that one needs for a brief stay. We enjoyed our time in Galena and the home we stayed in certainly made the experience there even better.

This property was a great choice for our family vacation. We liked the layout and appreciated how well stocked it was. Easy check in and check out process. Questions were answered promptly. Sisters' Holiday

From the easy in-out circular driveway to the welcoming front porch, the comfortable beds, en suite bathrooms, hot tub, lovely screened porch, not to mention use of the owners' club facility and hiking trails, Sara & Andrews place was perfect for our Sisters' Holiday in the Midwest. Communication with our hosts was superior and responses kind and thoughtful. Every aspect of this lovely home nestled in the quiet wooded cul de sac lent itself to comfortable relaxation.
