La Segreta del Castello offers a cozy suite in an air-conditioned setting, featuring a bedroom and a full bathroom with a shower, along with a towel kit, minibar, smart TV, fast and free Wi-Fi, and breakfast. Breakfast is served at the bar. This historic location, dating back to 1900, was preserved for years with great devotion and then, in 2023, transformed into a one-of-a-kind place, offering the opportunity to share it with many travellers who have admired and cherished every moment spent in this Magical Secret Room. Just as the famous Biancalancia lived in her castle dungeon, with one difference: she was taken there to be punished, while in this castle dungeon, you choose it to enjoy a wonderful and authentic stay! A location exclusively for a couple, designed and created to ensure unforgettable and comfortable days. Free public street parking is available. “A journey into history, pampered in a luxury experience, discovering Puglia”
The property is located directly across from the walls of Frederick II’s Norman-Swabian Castle, in the historic centre of Gioia del Colle—a destination for international tourism and the birthplace of mozzarella, Primitivo wine, and extra virgin olive oil. La Segreta del Castello is surrounded by streets paved with “La chianca” (stone), historic alleyways, and walls with stone arches. All of this evokes the medieval life under Frederick II as it was lived in Gioia del Colle, in the province of Bari. La Segreta del Castello is located: 200 metres from Piazza Plebiscito, the heart of the town; 200 metres from City Hall; 200 metres from the “Matrice” church; and 200 metres from restaurants, bars, pizzerias, shops, and the main streets of Gioia del Colle. Our property is at the entrance to the historic centre; continuing on foot, you’ll find the majestic castle, and just a few steps away is the first stone arch, known as the “Arco Nardulli.” The entire area forms the heart of the historic centre. Beyond that lies the entrance to the large Piazza Plebiscito, the town’s centre. It’s a area rich in history and full of interesting places to visit both day and night.
