Delightful! Such a cute and cozy place that goes above and beyond with sweet little touches like a tea and coffee station and a comfortable bed.
Their English breakfast was so tasty and made even more fun in their charming cafe. The owners were so helpful and kind, offering us numerous ideas of what to explore in the area. We truly felt like we were spending time with old friends.
Best stay in our Australia trip by light years!
Our stay at Village b & b was just right for us. Close to village shops and eateries, and historical places. Liz and Rich are excellent hosts and we enjoyed our chats with them. Liz has a good selection of speciality teas served in elegant high class teapots and cups and saucers. Unfortunately we were too busy exploring to partake in their high tea on offer, but we believe its a great event. This is a charming olde worlde English style b & b. The decor is just lovely and we enjoyed sitting on the verandah reading our books. The breakfast provided was a wholesome way to start the day, and we liked that the setting of table was slightly different every day even with different salt and pepper sellars!
The old house exudes charm and delight and we even got used to using our own private bathroom down the passage which wasn't ideal but one can live with this. Guests having high tea or lunch from Thursday to Sunday had their own facilities but it did feel slightly wierd they could see into our bedroom if they wished. The setup could not be helped, so we just either closed the curtains or made sure we were out at the time. A few new seedlings in the garden wouldn't go amiss to add to the English Garden look. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have recommended it to people. We hope to be back soon. Thank you, Liz and Rich!!!
While the property was nice and breakfast was good, they should have found a different place to set up high teas and lunch rather than outside the bedroom of people staying as guests.
The property was a delightful 125 year old queenslander style house. Our room was very comfortable for a weekend getaway. The bathroom was lovely and clean.
Our hosts were very friendly and provded a delicious cooked breakfast. I would definitely stay again. The property is a short drive from the beach and Springbrook National Park.
Lovely owners who deserve the support of their community.
Great start of the day even outside with nice view and beautiful warm light to soothe the traveler's nerves. A cornucopia of quality toiletries. Good TV and bed.
We were disappointed that the owner entered our room whilst we were out for 30 minutes and turned the air conditioning off!! It was a very hot day and the room was very hot when we arrived.
Rich and Liz are very generous hosts. They maintain the property really well. It was fortunate to be served by a professional chef. Rich and Liz are very warm and hospitable.
The room was so pleasant to hang out in, with a very comfy bed. There was a delicious breakfast and the restaurant was open 5 days which added dining opportunities. The hosts were friendly and welcoming.
The place had a lovely, comfy family charm with lots of polished wood and knick knacks. The bathroom was immaculate with all amenities you would need. The building is two-story and though it has no lift and parking is tight, the couple who owned the B&B were very friendly and happy to help. They also made a delicious hot breakfast.
My room was in a beautiful 1907 Queenslander. The room was spacious and the bedding luxurious. I was surprised to find my bathroom was down the hall but it was spotless and was only for my use. I should have checked the listing more thoroughly, but it was no real bother. Bit noisier than i would have liked being on the main road but other than that I had a lovely stay.
