Secluded cabin on a horse farm, bordered by the North River
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Conveniently located just 7 miles from I-81. Easy drive to many locations such as Harrisonburg, Staunton and Charlottesville. With many nearby colleges, wineries, breweries and caverns to explore. Tucked away against the North River on a horse farm. Enjoy the peace and quiet. Enjoy all of the animals the farm has to offer. Book a riding lesson or trail ride. Or, a relaxing float or fishing on the river.
We had an excellent stay! Loved the animals and being able to interact with them. The house was spacious and clean. Just as it was described. Two thumbs up all around! This was my second time staying at this property and Iâm looking forward to staying there again in the future!
We had an amazing stay while visiting our daughter at JMU. Check-in and check out was a breeze. Our host Lisa was very responsive and an absolute pleasure. Lisa's horse farm was tucked away in the back of their property. It was quiet, cozy and the horses were so friendly. We walked to the river, it was beautiful! We stargazed and took pics of galaxies that are not viewable from Florida. Overall it was above 5 stars! We will be back. Thank you Lisa!!!!
Beautiful, comfortable, clean and easy to communicate with property owners. So peaceful, the horses were amazing! Would stay here again and recommend to anyone.
This place is beautiful if you enjoy nature and animals. There are horses all over the place and the home is very cute and clean. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a night off the grid with all the comforts of home
This was the perfect Memorial Day get-away with myself and my adult children and their SOs. As soon as they got out of the car, they were in awe of the horses and goats. House had all amenities needed with a large fire pit for nice bonfires. We visited a winery and hiked Hawksbill during our stay, but there is a lot more to do in the area, even though it seems as youâre secluded.. Definitely would recommend.
My family stayed for two nights over the holidays. Lisa was immediately responsive to our questions and needs. The central kitchen/living area was comfortable and perfect for coffee time in the mornings. We enjoyed watching the horses.
Had a great experience, Lisa was very patient and understanding with all my questions- the house was cute and tucked away. Plenty of room to walk- due to rain was limited.
We got a wonderful time playing with the horses, riding and talking to the owner Lisa. At the same time we enjoyed the River trail, taking pictures and playing with the horses.
This property was as amazing as it looks! Lisa was a fantastic and welcoming host. The house was very clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies and linens. The view from the house is georgeous. It is also a perfect place for hiking. We'd love to come back!
Family had a 1 night stay during our travels, as it was a great quiet spot. The horses and open land is beneficial to anyone needing a break. Will return.
We had an amazing stay! Everything was as pictured and as described. It felt like home away from home. We absolutely loved being able to see and pet the horses, definitely an added bonus for animal lovers. We would love to come back again sometime!
From the cleanliness of the property, to the little touches throughout. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our state. Located on a active horse ranch, we really felt like we managed to get away from it all on our stay. We even took advantage of the available Horse Trail rides, and everyone had a great time.
