Peaceful Getaway

Wooded property makes for private enjoyment - hosts provides for numerous outdoor activities with games, swings, & outdoor tables at nice outdoor sites, as well as hiking paths to enjoy and canoeing on the lake was superb! A great opportunity when a respite is sorely needed!

A great get away
Posted May 8, 2024 on HomeAwayThe accommodations was excellent. All was very nice and comfortable. Normal living supplies were provided over and beyond what we had expected.
The only issue we had was the Internet was intermittent and for the better part of 2 days was completely out. There was some storms in the area so it could be attributed to that. Not catastrophic but inconvenient.
All in all we had a good outing.

Wonderful memories

This getaway was a birthday present for our grandson's 16th birthday and he invited some friends. They had a blast! The house was clean and had everything we needed. The firepit was a hit and being right on the lake really topped it off.

Nice Getaway
Posted Feb. 20, 2024 on HomeAwayThe cabin was nice, it was in a secluded area close to the lake which made it a perfect getaway weekend for my birthday. We couldn’t use the canoe because it was filled with water from all the rain, which was okay we just sat by the bank of the lake. The cabin does need to be cleaned there was sand piled on the floor and the couch. The grill did not work either so we had to cook indoors the whole time, but the fire pit was awesome. A heads up to bring trash bags would have been nice we filled up the trash and didn’t find a trash bag anywhere, which we are a little ways away from a store so having to drive into town just for trash bags was not ideal. Overall we would stay again if place was cleaned and other items in working order.

I'm sorry there were a few disappointments. The grill can be a little finicky but it might be time to replace it. I had no idea we were out of trash bags or the canoe had water in it. Please accept my apologies for the issues. I've talked with my cleaners about ensuring I'm notified about needed supplies and ensuring the cabin is more thoroughly cleaned from now on. If you come back and give us another try, I promise a better experience and will discount the visit 20% to make up for the imperfections encountered. Thank you for visiting!

Family Fishing Trip

Fall getaway
Posted Sep. 28, 2023 on HomeAwayWanted a place for my husband, mom, and myself. This cabin was great. Decorated for fall. Had more than enough room Very secluded so was quiet. Close enough to walk to fish. But we opted to drive to Whitney for a guided tour. Then found a nice fishing spot on Aquila to fish. Had good luck fishing. Brought back several meals of striper and catfish. The cabin was so comfortable and well stocked felt like being home. We will definitely stay here again.

TSTC Grad Celebration

We had family come and join us and with all the amenities we truly felt like we were home. Thank you for the hospitality and the opportunity to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Girls Trip
Posted Aug. 25, 2023 on HomeAwayWe celebrated my mom’s 75th birthday at the cabin. We enjoyed the size of the house and it had everything we needed to make meals. There’s a grill right outside the back door which was nice too. Since it was so hot outside we had to stay in but we played games at the large dining table and made great memories.
