June beach trip

Palmetto dunes is always our first choice for a Hilton Head island vacation, and we have stayed at many of the condos along the beachfront over the past 20 years. 5301 Hampton is among the best. We initially thought the oblique view of the beach from the back of the condo unit would be a drawback, but it turned out to be one of our favorite features. The treed landscape was much quieter and more natural than the front views overlooking the pool, and there was no obstruction in looking at and listening to the ocean at night. The patio furniture was more comfortable and functional than found in most units, and we spent almost every night outside before bed. We like a firm mattress, and were not disappointed And slept well. The master shower worked well and had some custom shower heads with good water pressure. There was a weird fitting around what used to be the jacuzzi controls that had some mold.. The second shower was more cramped and a little awkward to keep the water from leaking onto ghe floor , but hey, it’s the second shower in a 1 BR unit, so just having it was a bonus. We didn’t use the kitchen much, but appliances and washer/dryer were all better than expected. Third floor location allowed us to skip the slow elevator except for carting luggage. All in all a superior condo and one of the best we have enjoyed on our annual Hilton Head excursions.

very nice condo overall.Floor was dirty with sand on arrival and had to call management comp to have cleaned which was done promptly.Soap dish in bathroom had some rust and needs to be replaced.Small things but make this a 4 star and not 5.Hampton Place is a very nice building.

The condo was beautiful...comfortable...and a perfect location!

The condo was perfect...beautifully decorated well equipped...perfect location and steps to the beach with a perfect beachside pool! Unfortunately our vacation was shortened because of Hurricane Matthew...but we'll be back...
