Value for money is debatable

Good location for exploring the eastern side of the peak district. We stayed here for 2 nights. Good car parking area. Clean spacious family room with a double bed plus a double sofa bed & a single convertible chair both were extended for 3 of us. There was hardly any space to walk in the room. Bathroom was clean with toiletries. On the first day we ordered pizza and burger for dinner. Vegetarian pizza had no flavour and too expensive. The next day we decided to drive to Sheffield for dinner. Breakfast was fairy good. Though the payment for the room & breakfast was paid online upfront at check out we were told that an additional payment of £40 was due! They understood that there was an error in their billing but didn't bother to apologise. Overall wasn't a great experience.

The Plough is a quaint and adorable hotel/pub very convenient to the beautiful villages of the Peak District. The staff were friendly, food was delicious and our room was charming. We will definitely return when we visit this area again.

We stayed in the Shepherds Hut and it was smashing. Loved the fire. Everything was provided. Both the Sunday meal and breakfast were top marks.

Wonderful place and very dog friendly. At first glance you may think its too nice for them to be accepting of our canine friends, however this isnt the case. Also, the surrounding area is beautiful and dining excellent.

Had a wonderful stay at the The Plough Inn - it's in a stunning location and was a perfect base for many wonderful walks and outdoor adventures. I stayed in shepherding hut. In a large field bordering a river – very picture and very quiet. Pub was busy but not noisy. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful with a huge choice.
