Industrial rustic 1950’s reno is filled with Melissa’s art, her hand crafted barn doors and extra artistic touches ‱ 3 decks and 1 deck is eight feet high in the trees with hammock swings and a hammock underneath.

Emma and I are long time locals, are trained in interior design and high end hospitality, we have been hosting wonderful guests like you for years.

Each home has a different charm and experience. If one is booked for the dates you are interested in then try checking another.

We don’t have a weight limit but trust that your dogs are well behaved and will be wonderful guests in our beautiful homes :-) $25 per dog flat fee per stay.

WHAT WE PROVIDE:
‱ Fenced yard or enclosed deck (some properties) ‱ 16 foot tether in the yards (if not fenced) ‱ dog bowls ‱ dog treats ‱ dog waste bags ‱ pet wipes (to wipe down pups after outside walks/play - DO NOT FLUSH) .
‱ PET FEES: $25 flat fee per dog per stay. That goes to our cleaning crew for the extra time cleaning. Instructions to pay are on the check out sheet at the house.

We had a wonderful stay at the little house. My husband and I went for our 12th anniversary with our kid. They have everything you need to cook, a emergency mini bar, treasure trove of random things in the junk drawer and lots of spices in the cupboard. We had have fun playing the board games and watching movies. Very comfy beds , linen is so soft and the skylight in the bedroom is a great touch. Our daughter loved her lil room in the loft. Massive backyard and really fun to grill. We are definitely coming back !

Perfect Overnight Stay

Little House and its hosts were great! We stayed overnight to explore Idyllwild and were so happy about this cabin. The top nook is very cute and if we were kids, we would've loved sleeping up there. The bedroom was no less great, as it came with a bed warmer, fun light options, and a skylight. We stargazed from our bed! Backyard was fun to explore and reminded us of our childhood. Tried the bikes too but they do need some care. If we come back to Idyllwild, we're definitely checking this place out again!

Doggy vacation

We absolutely love your property!!! This was our 3 or 4th time staying at your lovely cozy home. Our dogs love the yard and I love the convenience of having my cup of coffee while the dogs do there morning thing. There is everything you need and far enough away from the city but only minutes drive. This is our go to everytime we visit!! See you in October. Thanks for everything!!!

LITTLE HOUSE IDYLLWILD

My wife and I along with our 2 small dogs had a short vacay in Idyllwild. The unit was immaculate and very dog friendly. It was conveniently located with a 5 to 10 minute drive to wherever we went. Nonetheless, the home was indeed “little” with extremely limited closet space and void of anything to hang clothes or store personal items. Moreover, we could not get the heat to function and it did cold at night. The electrical plug in the bathroom did not work as well. I did not contact the owner about these items because I felt they should have been resolved before our arrival. Overall, as always, we had an enjoyable time in the village. Highly recommend the Brew Pub, the Peak, and Gastrognome. Will definitely visit Idyllwild in the not too distant future, but pass on staying at the Little House again.

Great getaway

This our 2nd time staying here. Been visiting Idyllwild for many years. Nice quiet deck, large yard that our dogs love. Everything you need in the cabin if you like to cook like myself. And the bbq on the deck that we used nightly. We will be long term visitors, thank you so much Melissa for all you do. See you again soon!!

The Backyard is Beautiful

It’s very quaint is perfect for single travelers or a couple. The backyard is really big and it feels like you’re in the middle of the forest. The only drawback was the driveway is very steep, if you have a car it’s not car friendly. My car kept scrapping on the driveway going in and out.

Just GO there!!!

I didn’t even know where Idyllwild was. I took a leap of faith on a sabbatical, trying to escape the hot Texas weather and ended up here at Melissa‘s house. The road leading to the home is one of the most gorgeous I have ever driven. The surroundings are absolutely incredible and majestic. You can physically see the elevation change with the foliage and it is spectacular. I traveled with my two dogs and of importance to me was having a safe, large, secure yard, and this place was absolutely perfection for that. The house is as it is listed, but honestly, was better than I expected. Melissa has thought of every single thing you will need from top to bottom left to right. You will be in want of nothing. She is incredibly gracious, and very communicative and helpful. I felt so peaceful at this place. The nights were silent, the trees were magnificent, my dogs loved the house, I felt so at home. The town was incredibly sweet with lots to do. Lots of shopping, a movie, theater, grocery stores, gas stations, and incredibly nice people. I want to trade my Vrbo with hers in the future! Hoping she’ll take me up on it! Oh, if there’s any reason at all, you are questioning this house, or this place, don’t do it. Just go!

Loved this home for a stay in Idyllwild!

The communication with the Manager, Melissa, was awesome. Very friendly and responsive. Really appreciate that. And the details . . . everything we needed to know and more about the home, checking in, checking out, etc. was stated in emails and in a binder in the home that made staying here so easy. The home itself was perfect for us and our dog. Very cozy and with so many homey touches that truly made it feel like we were at home. There were lots thoughtful touches included and it was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. Our dog loved the huge yard to roam around and it was just a mile from the center of the village, enabling us to walk or drive in minutes. Thank you for making our stay in Idyllwild fun and comfortable!

Relaxing

The Little Cabin was adorable. My husband and our puppy stayed at the cabin. The cabin was a perfect size and well stocked if you needed anything. The property was perfect. The patio had a little firepit that made the evenings cozy. Our host Melissa was AMAZING. I higly recommend this property. We will be back and be staying at another property Melissa manages.

Relaxing beautiful quiet stay

Little cabin was beautiful! My 3 dogs enjoyed the back yard and loved laying in the sun on the big front deck! We had perfect weather so we were able to eat our meals outside on the front deck! Had lots of squirrel & steller jay visitors. Can’t wait to come back!

Good location

Nice small home, lots of supplies and fully stocked kitchen. Convenient to town, 5 mins to anywhere. To be honest, we were not brave enough to use the loft since we both get up several times in the night, and the outside/extra room would also not have worked for the same reason-no bathroom-so whoever stayed out there would have to come through the master bedroom or go through the process of unlocking the front door just to get to the bathroom. But we were ok all together on the queen bed. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Great place. Great communication as I can be annoying with lots of questions but they were very accommodating. Only concern was I didn’t consider the stairs was difficult even though it was just one small set. Would love to return but may need a ramp or assistance lifting multiple bags but we had a lovely stay. It was a great location -a lil walk to town and cute place. We enjoyed the yard the most with sledding n space to run around, even the Easter bunny stopped by for a bit with just toys no snacks. Even though there was snow it was still warm enough to hang out outside.

Cool little house with huge yard

Me and my wife and three dogs really enjoyed this property. The interior design was very unique and comfortable. Dogs loved the big yard. As we are not spring chickens, the ladder to the loft was a little challenging but we made it work. All in all, we would stay here again if we were to come to Idyllwild on another getaway.

Perfect Getaway

This wonderful home came with everything we needed. The huge backyard was perfect for our dogs. Very easy to get into town, and the views were beautiful.

Beautiful accommodations

I could not have asked for a better place to stay with my dog. Easy check in process. Beautiful property. Quiet. I was able to not only have my dog off leash on the front porch and back yard, but was also able to walk around the neighborhood with him. Easy to get into Idyllwild as well. Easy to communicate with the hosts! Everything was well maintained.

Little House Big Fun

This is our 3rd time staying at Little House
 We love it there. The location is perfect for taking our dog Rudi for walks in the neighborhood. The house is cozy and comfortable with a wonderful back yard. Close to town center if you want to go out to eat or check out the cute shops
 Melissa & Emma are wonderful and accommodating- it’s 4 paw approved by Rudi and 5 star approved by his people! Come stay at Little House!!
