A Great Location!

We stayed here with an another family and their 2 dogs. Plenty of space and very cozy. It’s clean and the location is amazing. Will stay again.

Nice place for family with dogs

This cabin is located in amazing spot right next to a creek and close to town. It is very comfortable with lots of space. It is an older cabin, but was a great place to stay with dogs. There is a hot tub which we wish we knew about before we came as we would’ve brought our swimsuits. All of the amenities listed in the posting were present and the beds were very comfortable. There was a slight gas odor in the kitchen area. When we reported it, they sent someone out to look right away. However, he was not able to figure out the problem, so hopefully they get someone in to permanently fix the issue as we read some of the previous reviews that mention this same thing. However, the odor was very faint and did not ruin my experience. There is no air conditioning (which we knew about ahead of time from the listing) and it was a little tough to cool down the upstairs. So if you are someone that likes it very cool at night, might want to consider sleeping downstairs. If you have a family with dogs, this would be a great place to stay!

Great, with a few problems

Everything was great, except a few problems that the owner should deal with. The driveway is narrow and windy, and should be widened or given some kind of guard rails. The upstairs shower only gave dangerously hot water. The downstairs shower valve took a lot of strength to open and close.

The getaway and property itself was great and I loved that my dog was able to practically run free on the property. However, there were cobwebs in all the windows and dead bugs in the webs. There were cobwebs hanging from the light fixtures and the place was dusty which sent my daughters allergies into a tailspin.. The dryer is leaking gas and woke us up in the middle of the night...my sister and nephew are still feeling off today from the fumes. The carpet smelled of animal urine and there were some old stains on the bedding. I really loved the property but feel the cleaning company could do a much better job of cleaning between guest , especially since each customer gets charges a cleaning fee up fromt.

Great property if you are traveling with dogs!

Quiet neighborhood, property is fully fenced so we were all able to enjoy our stay without worry! Well stocked, fantastic deck, hot tub, bbq, perfect for relaxing amongst the trees. We will be back for sure!

Great cabin in the mountains with amazing views

We loved our stay here in Idyllwild . The hot tub was quite a treat after a day of hiking, The views from the back of home are amazing(views from the front are nice too!). FYI if you like cooking with non-stick, bring a pan. There was plenty to use for cooking but we missed a non-stick pan. We would definitely stay here again.

Great escape during a heat wave.

This spacious cabin was an ideal getaway from the desert heat. Unfortunately, we were there during the hottest Idyllwild temperature ever recorded! Luckily they provided several box fans and we spent most of our time sprawled on the deck enjoying the wooded scenery or lounging around the great room watching Netflix.

Great location - lots of spring snow!

We loved this place. The location is great and the peaceful sound of Strawberry Creek was relaxing. The house needs a bit of a spring cleaning but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. If you are coming during the cold months bring extra blankets as it can get really chilly!

The cabin and the vienes are AMAZING.

The location is the best since we have been coming to Idyllwild for our yearly family get away. The rooms are spacious, the views from any window are breathtaking. The only downside is that the oven was so filthy we were not able to bake. There was holes in the lower restroom, and there were not enough soap to wash the hot tub towels for re use (good thing I brought my own detergent). Will probably rent this again.

Beautiful house in the woods

My 4 kids, 2 dogs and I loved this house. It was very comfortable and spacious. The back porch overlooked the forest and each morning I was able to look out the kitchen window at the picturesque mountain view. Everything wasn't the most updated but it made it feel more like home. The jacuzzi was just the right temperature and my kids thoroughly enjoyed that the most. My only complaint...and the only reason I mention any complaint is for the next person. We ended up arriving at night and the numbering on the houses seems to go out of order...if I remember correctly...it went 24600 then 24630 and 24640...24620 came after that. Either way, the number was on a tree facing the opposite direction than the direction the car was driving and was difficult to see. The next morning I saw another number on a tree going up the driveway but that was a little hidden as well. A very kind man helped us find the house. With ALL that being said...that is my only complaint otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you!

Excellent Labor Day Get Away

Thanks for a great stay. The house was perfect for the 5 of us. So glad the bunk beds were broken down as my two adult boys appreciated not having to fight over who had to climb stairs. House was clean, loved the back porch. Light switches and TV was alittle confusing but we figure it out. Glad we had our own batteries for the report. Kitchen worked out great as we cooked all our meals at the house. Plenty of pots and pans. Alittle why in bowls for mixing and salad but we figured it all out. For a blazing hot weekend the house stayed nice and cool with all the fans. Close to our hiking trails. Really enjoyed the house and would recommend it to all.

The pros. The location, fenced yard for our pups, hot tub, deck, the creek below. Walking distance to a few hikes in area. The cons. Property could use some clean up. Spiders falling on us from ceiling, flies everywhere outside and inside. I understand it’s late summer in the mountains but I think a pressure wash and some simple clean up would go a long way. The vacuum cleaner didn’t work (Turned on but didn’t do anything). Carpeted bathrooms that weren’t shown in photos.

Dog Friendly & Peaceful

Lots of space. Nice relaxing environment, listening to the stream was great. Quiet roads to go on walks. Having card and board games available was helpful for our 8 year old. Wifi made the 11 & 14 year olds happy. The photos make it look a more updated than it is. The old carpets made me less nervous about our doggy bringing in dirt after our walks (we still wiped her paws). New environments can freak her out. She was constantly searching for something in the house and we realized why when a mouse came out of hiding. One of the kids had a hard time sleeping after that. If you have bad allergies, not the place for you. The carpets stir up a lot of dust. No broom was available to sweep the deck. Kitchen drawers had lots of crumbs in them. They ask that you do a load of laundry but there wasn't any detergent. We bought some in town because we ended up needing to do a load of our own. We're used to camping, so for the most part, we got over these things, especially since the price was reasonable.

Relaxing getaway in a cute cabin on Strawberry Creek

Renting this property was very easy. The property was exactly as pictured. The outside deck is very relaxing and has great views. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and we will consider visiting this property again

The only nice part of this rental home was the outside patio. The inside had webs, bugs, spiders etc. Bathrooms needed to be bleached out. Worse of all the house had the worse odor from cat/dog urine. Upstairs bathroom had no privacy due to door doesn’t lock. If anyone hate bugs or urine odor or cleanliness this isn’t the place for you.
