Disappointed that there were no loch views and was more inland than I realized. There was no water at all for a few hours due to a fault in the line . All boat tours were full from this point but we able to get a boat tour about 20 minutes drive from the hotel

Best bit definitely friendliness of staff. They make a relaxed atmosphere. There's not a lot of facilities at the hotel, but I'm pleased they provide a generous supply of PG Tips and milk 😀

The hotel is nice enough and in a very convenient place. The area is lovely and the outside is quiet. However, the walls are thin and I could hear the room next door's bathroom fan quite loudly and hear the person next door snoring as if they were in my room.

Think twice before making a booking here

Difficult to find . Picture of the hotel on website was misleading. Reception was a poky desk just inside the main entrance . No one there initially. Booked 2 rooms for 1 night(27th July). Checked and was told we were staying in 2 lodge rooms. Lodges conjure up in my mind comfortable accommodation with a pleasant outlook. This was not the case. On opening the door to one of the rooms I was met with a foul smell of damp . The walls were clad in dark wood which made the place very uninviting. The bathroom also had an awful smell and the carpet in there was dirty. The second lodge was exactly the same. After discussion we decided not to stay the night. I’m no snob but just couldn’t sleep in those conditions. We lost our money but it didn’t matter. This place is in need of an urgent update to bring it up to an acceptable standard. Incidentally we found lovely clean accommodation about 10 miles up the road.

We stayed in the Lodge which was quiet and in a good location. We could easily walk around town and it was a ahort drive to the castle. The room was darker than I like but the room was perfectly fine for our needs fir one night. We did not have a breakfast option but there were places very close by for food.

Great place to stay right by Loch Ness. The museum is wonderful, don't skip it! Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant was tasty. The short (less than 5 minute) walk to the "touristy" part of town for dinner one night and to check out the local shops is easy and beautiful. Our room was spotless, the check in process was painless and the staff were very helpful. We booked the wrong room (thanks a lot Expedia) and they quickly got us a room that was right for us and our big dog. Could use some new mattresses, and the water pressure in the shower was not great, still managed to get clean so thats what matters. Definitely plan on staying here again.
