The Chicaugon Lake Inn in Gaastra is an excellent place to stay. We were greeted by the very pleasant lady at the front desk with smiles & welcomes. Our room was cozy & clean & suited us fine. The continental breakfast was plentiful and easy to access & well displayed. The staff was friendly and chatty & we hope to go back sometime soon.

The bed was uncomfortable and kind of lumpy. Also the bathtub was dangerous. It got very slippery when taking a shower and stepping out. The continental breakfast had a very limited selection of items. Other than that was mentioned it was nice and peaceful. Enjoyed sitting in the Anderondicks chairs they supplied very peaceful.

A lovely hotel: clean, quiet, with helpful people working and running the place. It's an older hotel, but with modern conveniences. You may want to bring a short extension cord or plug strip, as the plugs are few and far between and hidden behind the beds and other furniture. Otherwise, a lovely stay.

The room was exceptionally clean. The Jacuzzi tub was fantastic. The bed was wonderful. The staff was outstanding would recommend highly to anyone for a short stay or long.

I only gave an average rating because we didn’t actually stay there, but I gave the staff a poor rating because I was very disappointed and communications with them. There was an error during booking and whether it was on my end or through the third-party website, they refuse to work with me on it. We were Five hours away in a different city, and they would not adjust the booking or work with us to make it work for them nor for us. Would not recommend if anything comes up.
