This is a nice simple cottage that was hard to find with two small beds upstairs.
The cottage is really well located near top of Skye and you can walk down hill to very interesting restaurants.
Be prepared to go through lots of procedures especially checking out.. This is a very descent base in the area.
We had a great stay here. It's what you'd call a "tiny house" - everything we required with nice bathroom, kitchen, living room and loft bedroom, and adjacent parking. On a farm property with pasture and sheep (who came to visit as they roam pretty freely - super cool!). Things to know: just keep following the access road until you get there (google maps told us we'd "arrived" too early - owners provide good text instructions); the loft bedroom has a peaked ceiling and two single beds against the walls so just be careful getting up, especially if you're tall; most ideal to buy groceries at a larger town before you get there as it's mostly villages around. That said, this place was awesome and no complaints - great communication from owners and we had zero issues. There is a lovely deck off the living room - we could not access because the banister was not yet installed (safety) - when this is done, the place is going to be even better! Was a great location from which we could explore the rest of Skye on day trips.
We really enjoyed the peaceful views. The bothy had a well stocked kitchen and bath, parking was easy; and stargazing through the bedroom windows (which could be closed if you like) was a real pleasure. Weâd happily return.
This is a magical small cottage with amazing views and perfectly laid out. The host was easy to communicate with and very helpful. I will try and book here for my wife and I when we come back to Skye.
Fabulous location, great place to stay, loved the views. Had the best dinner at Chidakasha Skye. Surprised noone mentions this restaurant as it was just an outstanding evening and so close to the Bothy.
Fabulous little house perfect for 2. Exceptionally well equipped. Communication before and during stay with Angus excellent. Definitely one to stay at again
This is self-contained unit set up like a tiny house. Lots of natural light, cozy, very comfortable. The scenery around the property is stunning! The owner had quick responses to my questions. The sitting area has heated floors which was nice! The bedroom loft has skylights. The fridge had ample space for our few days of groceries. We used the washer and drying rack (the write-up said dryer but it is actually a drying rack, and there is also an outside clothesline) and had clean clothes again. It was a delightful, quiet, relaxing place to stay! If I ever make it back to SkyeâŠâŠ..
Like a page out of a fairy tale, this stay is beautifully located in a quiet and scenic spot. The home is sweetly and thoughtfully planned and provides just about everything youâll need for a comfortable and memorable stay.
Wonderful, quiet, secluded location with a breathtaking and relaxing view over the water from the living room. Could have sat there for hours just soaking up the scenery but also was able to easily get out and enjoy all of Skye including hiking and dinner at the nearby three chimneys restaurant.
Wonderful view, comfortable to relax in. We enjoyed our stay and loved the area. Kitchen is well equipped and its clean and cozy. The only downside is that WiFi is terribly slow and cell service is spotty at best. Not bad if you're looking to disconnect but I intended to work a day or two while there for an extended stay and had a tough time doing so.
Owner was super responsive and gave some good recommendations. Would definitely stay again!
A beautiful tiny home! Decorated to a high standard. Amazing views. Tucked away in a quite area but not to far from anything. I would definitely return.
