The hotel staff was extremely hospitable, friendly and nice. They also were a great assistance in arranging a very early transportation from Istanbul hotel ottoman to the airport for a flight to Sofia Bulgaria and did a wonderful job including packing me a lunch since I would miss breakfast that day. I really appreciate the support and I think this is a great place to stay.

Comfortable hotel in a fantastic location. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast and reception team were really helpful The only downside of the Ottoman Hotel was that it was quite noisy outside the hotel on the side of the hotel where our bedroom was located

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. It was a beautiful and historic building, situated in a perfect location. The staff were all amazing – they went above and beyond to help us on several occasions. We highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again when visiting Istanbul.

I’m not sure where to begin. The rooms are in disrepair. I’m not sure what’s going on. There has been no renovation or anything in decades. The furniture, walls, bathroom were just in poor condition. We stayed here over 10 years ago, and do not remember this condition. The pillows felt like they were a decade old, like hard as a rock. If you are desiring location, a nice restaurant and great customer service, but don’t mind poor room conditions, then this is the place for you. I’m doubting we will ever stay here again.

Location is right next to Hagia Sofia. Room we had was fairly spacious with a balcony and huge bathrooms. Really loved the large shower and turkish style bath with the marble sink and seats in the shower. Bed was comfortable. And staff was super friendly. HOWEVER - The location doesn’t seem to be accessible for Taxis. Ours dropped us off at the bottom of the hill because of the tram. We had to walk up hill with our luggage on cobblestone and observed other guests arriving do the same to get to the hotel. So book proper Airport transfers that will get you right at the hotel’s door step. - The hotel is old and needs updating. The rooms are clean but tired. Like the carpet in the room has old stains. The air conditioners are also old and underpowered for the room size and need replacing. We arrived in the evening and its been a very hot week (its summer time and there is a heat wave) the room we had would not cool and we could not sleep. Around 11pm we requested to maybe borrow an electric fan if available but they did not have one. After 3 hours we requested for a different room otherwise we were going to check out and book somewhere else. luckily they had another room available hoping it would be better. The new room took about 6 hours to cool but after that it was okay.

This hotel is classy. The rooms are luxurious and the breakfast is wonderful. Be aware that it's an old building that would not be accessible to people with disabilities. If that's not an issue for you, it's very nice and close to the main sights.
