Built on the fragrant pathway from the mountain to the sea (Mauka to Makai ) it is a great example of Hawaiian single wall construction. Open floor plan with large windows to let the ocean and mountain breezes inn. Large master bedroom with ceiling fan. The lanai sleeping area has two full size beds . This is a great budget stay in a convenient location. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the waterfront/Kona town. Onsite parking is a huge plus, you won’t find free parking at most of the hotels and almost all of the parking in Kona town is paid parking now so the quick walk to town is nice. There are grocery stores within walking distance, so you can easily make use of the full kitchen in this place. Photos in listing are a good representation of the property. There is a sliver of an ocean view from the lanai. We were here in March and it was definitely cold enough at night to use a blanket with just the windows open. Ample fans. Host had excellently communication. I would stay here again!

Hosts were nice, place was very clean and so close to everything. I wished we had an extra night here so we could use the snorkel gear! I loved the patio area - saw a beautiful sunset. It was also perfect for morning coffee. The only thing I would suggest is the host should have turned on the fans since the space was quite warm when we arrived. The decor was nice - felt old school. There were five of us, all adults, and there was plenty of room.

This is an amazing place. The location is perfect. So close to so much. It was like stepping back in time to traditional Hawaii. We appreciated the spotless and welcoming atmosphere. We loved that there was no TV and we got to listen to nature. The small touches with having beach towels for guests, beach amenities like snorkels and boogie boards, washer and dryer to use and well kept yard. We will come stay again. Thank you so much.

Bugs on the bed, pillows, dust layers on the ceiling fan, blinds not able to be closed all the way, chairs at/in kitchen/dining ripped on the seats, old, nasty, over-used. Dark inside, needs a refresher and a deep cleaning and could be much more welcoming and enjoyable. Supplied shampoo, conditioner, bathroom ok, water continuously dripped from faucet. Did not use washer or dryer. Parking under where we stayed.Neighborhood had a lot of garbage and broken down vehicles in lots nearby and viewable from windows. Close to the water, shopping and restaurants. Very easy to hear everything going on outside, Dark inside. Decent sitting area on outside porch.

This is a totally comfortable apartment on the same property as the owners house. There's one bedroom with a queen bed and two double beds on a screened in porch. Everything is a bit on the worn and comfortable side. It's a great location, has a little kitchen and plenty of space. We would definitely stay again in Kona.
