The house was great. Enjoyed the hot tub, comfortable beds, and spacious rooms. The property management company was terrible though. They were totally unresponsive to questions within the app. They did not provide check in instructions before check in. We had to call to get them to send instructions. Then they sent incorrect instructions and we had to call again. They also send constant spam emails from the time we booked trying to upsell their services and I was afraid to opt out and miss important communications.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but we booked this property for the outdoor area and it definitely needs some care & upkeep. The outdoor pizza oven (still in the listing) is not operational and the fire pit didn't work. AvantStay offered to have someone come out and check the firepit but it was already in the evening and we declined due to the time of night but no one came during the remainder of our stay and the fire pit was unusable. The whole outdoor area looked like it wasn't readied for guests and gave off a neglected vibe. The deck hadn't been swept and the outdoor kitchen covered in cobwebs. The grill ignition didn't work either. The house is a different color than the listing too. We enjoyed the hot tub. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything you'd need to cook at home. The house felt like we were staying in someone's home. Every room was filled with furniture, books, and other ornamental items. It felt very cluttered and personal. We were only 2 couples but there was plenty of space for families with children to enjoy the loft and all the games. A little more attention to the outside and this would have been a great stay. We loved the location and proximity to the wineries. Dinner at Salt & Stone did not disappoint!
Wonderful property! The location is so central to all the wine regions. We feel that was our biggest plus. Very convenient. As for the house, the rooms are spacious. Furnishings are so nice. It felt like home! The kitchen is fantastic! There are more kitchen utensils than I have at home. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Every day, in fact. Tons of games and books and DVDs. Beds were comfortable (The guest bed is starting to âbowlâ but it is still comfortable. I would consider replacing it soon.) We enjoyed the use of the washer and dryer a couple of times. The property manager (AvantStay) is very responsive. We had a concern about the A/C one evening. A technician came the next morning. All said, I highly recommend this location.
Our girlsâ trip to Sonoma was absolutely perfect, thanks to this incredible stay! The house was beautiful, spacious, and well-appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The outdoor space was a dreamâperfect for sipping morning coffee or unwinding with a glass of wine after a day of tasting. The location couldnât have been better! We were just minutes from some of the best wineries and fantastic restaurants, making it easy to explore without spending too much time driving. The hosts were wonderfulâresponsive, welcoming, and full of great local recommendations. If youâre planning a wine country getaway, this is the perfect place to stay. We canât wait to come back!
The place was exactly as described with lots of open space for everyone to enjoy. Kids especially enjoyed the play room upstairs. My family loved the hot tub. We weren't able to use the fire pit, spoke to the AvantStay folks but didnt still couldn't get it to light. The house is in a picturesque location within 15 mins to Sonoma downtown and within an hour of all Napa wineries. There are quite a few good wineries in walking/biking distance. Would definitely recommend a stay.
loved our stay. Place was well-kept, master BR was wonderful and hot tub/fire pit both great amenities. would stay here again in a heartbeat. Only negative was the 400 cleaning fee which was way too steep in our case.
We stayed for 2 nights on a long weekend in November. The heating worked perfectly, and the pizza oven and hot tub were definitely crowd pleasers. Plenty of seating space and a large kitchen. All bedrooms are downstairs as well which made it very accessible. I have all my questions answered in a timely and polite manner. No major complaints just a note to any future guests the master bedroom does not have opaque curtains so if light impedes your sleep Iâd suggest packing an eye mask. Otherwise the stay was enjoyable and the hosts were nice and helpful!
Friends adventure weekend, 7 of us all over 50. We loved the property. Spacious. Beautiful yard. Lots of room to be on your own or great gathering spots. Rooms were nice and comfy. Quiet location. Spent most of out me time in the kitchen when we werenât out hiking, running, exploring or tasting wine.
This is a nice house in a convenient location. We were a little disappointed that we paid more for this property to enjoy the hot tub only to find it not working. Iâd add that the Avant Stay customer service was responsive although inconsistent as they responded to the issues but didnât resolve the matter as they promised.
For the price per night we paid we were expecting a lot more. The entire entry way is covered in spider webs and there are no curtains in the master bedroom. The third bedroom has bunk beds which was not shown in the photos and overall the property felt very dated. We were really disappointed overall and wouldnât stay here again.
Had a great time reuniting with old friends here - gorgeous views in the area and plenty to do outside, but it was just as enjoyable to hang out inside playing board games and cooking in the nice kitchen!
Property is a little more "worn" than the pictures would indicate. bunk beds situated differently than picture, and in such a way that getting to the top bunk is potentially unsafe.
Bugs crept into master bedding, and a bug bite occurred on the first night. Ants were ubiquitous throughout master bath and kitchen.
Hot tub rocked!! We were unable to use the firepit, as it would not light.
Although the kitchen was very well stocked with pots/pans etc. Vey basic stables, like Olive oil, salt and pepper were either not apparent, or were empty. Looked as though past renters had left some spices which were used, so we left the our additions as well ( salt and pepper)
Overall, the stay was quite nice, but just wanted to give honest input on little items that might help with future renters.
