Enjoyed my stay at Gateway. Although the exterior and hallways give an institutionalized vibe, my studio room was absolutely wonderful. It was very functional and relaxing place to stay after a hardday skiing. I would stay there again.
I did have some issues with an extension cord that was used to plug up appliances in the kitchen area. Also found the kitchen area, especially at night was dark and needed more light. Overall, a great place to stay! A great place to stay with easy walking access to both the river gondola and Peru lift.
Great facility, walking distance from River Run.
NO ski locker key.
Several electrical outlets were not working and the outlets are very old, charging cubes wouldnât stay in.
Noisy family above us, rooms are not very sound proof.
Loved the area, one of the check in employees called me and told me we had a full kitchen when that was not the case. Mild miscommunication, easily fixable.
Check in is about 1.4 miles offsite at the at a general Keystone Condominium check in office. Check in was super easy and the staff was friendly and helpful.
The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. There is a nice brewery, coffee shop, small grocery/liquor, and breakfast restaurant in a small strip mall attached to the condo. Location is right next to the ski resort. Would definitely stay here again.
Everything was good except one thing. I booked thru Expedia.com. When I was there at the office, that was in the same building, but they canât find my booking. I called Expedia and they told me to go to different place to get my check-in package. I drove about a mile to totally different lodging office to picked up my package and come back. It was confusing.
Avoid this hotel!! We could not access the property upon arrival!! There was no front desk onsite, and the phone numbers provided to get a key did not work. They provided an offsite address which we drove to after showing up to the property and seeing there was no front desk. Once we arrived to the secondary address provided to get a key, nobody was working and we couldnât get ahold of anyone to get a key. We had to book a hotel last minute so we didnât have to sleep in the car. Should out to Andy from the Hyatt for being so helpful!! Expedia and the resort will not refund us. Apparently YOU have to call the hotel 48 hours ahead of time to make arrangements to get a key, and check in is only from 4-7. What a terrible business model!!!
The pullout sofa was the worst ever in unit 5004. My son had wires poking at him all night. Not much sleep. Heat was great. Coffee maker didnât work in the morning. Maintenance was the only one open to answer the phone and they sent out a worker with a new coffee maker, thankfully!! Great location. There is NO game room which was advertised on Expedia, which was a big disappointment for my son and I. The hot tub was so crowded we never were able to use it for our one night stay. Wonât come back, unfortunately.
Great location. Everything in building (grocery, restaurant, coffee shop) or very close. Pool and hot tub were nice but way too much chlorine (eyes burn and suite bleached)
The unit we stayed at in the "Gateway" building was great. Spacious and comfortable. Parking was difficult with ATV trailers. Front desk was not helpful in the situation.
Nice and great location. Covered parking was awesome!
Room was well appointed, but the TV away the size of a personal computer monitor. It would have been good to have info on the Keystone shuttles that apparently pickup (Orange Route) right in front of the lodge. We drove to the parking lots and then walked to the lifts. Also, more info on how to make use of the ski lockers would have been helpful vs. lugging skis and boots around.
It was really nice to have a small grocer right downstairs, as well as a couple of restaurants.
Overall, a learning experience, but Iâd stay here again.
We loved the location! A few cons:
-Room was a bit cramped
-Couldnt find our ski locker which made it a pain to lug around all our equipment. -The tv was not working when we arrived.
-the parking garage is shared with the whole building so your not guaranteed a spot.
The best thing about this place was the diner right next door for breakfast.
The bed was very comfortable.
And the shuttle service.
Overall 3 star
