Location was great, within walking distance to the beach and ocean view from the lanai.Equipment is reduced to the minimum. No beach stuff, no games etc.The windows are in a rather poor condition. Wind and rain is coming through... (we experienced some really heavy rain during our stay)

The unit was in various stages of disrepair. It wasn’t dirty like unclean linens but because it hasn’t ever been renovated it’s grungy, kitchen counter is caving in, fridge door shelves collapse because the fridge is from the 1990’s stained carpet, everything is old and shabby. Great central location in Kihei, short walk to everything. No ants, no bad smell, hard to keep cool as louvered windows don’t close properly. If this unit was fully renovated it would be ideal, but it’s pretty bad as it is. Hosts are friendly, booking was easy. Price was a bit high considering the condition but it’s actually at the point where it should probably not be rented. If it had new cabinets and counters, new appliances and new beds at least you could look past the poor windows banged up walls and stained carpet. It’s just problems everywhere you look kind of thing, it’s got great potential though because of location and size/layout. Hope the owners fix it up unless it’s in the residential zoned area that will lose its ability to be let out to tourists, maybe that’s the case?

Maui vista 1423

The grounds are well kept !!!! Not so with this unit! Come on guys this is a beach front condo in Hawaii it’s time for a complete renovation! Tile floors are cracked and chipped, all cabinets are in bad condition, screen door to lanai isint working proper, living room carpet is matted and stained, walls need painted, appliances have seen there day, do yourself a favor and renovate raise your price if need be but trust me it’s time. Yes you did tell me it hasent been updated but it’s time.wouldn’t you prefer excellent ratings over negative ones? Maybe think about selling the unit if u can’t afford a renovation. I stayed a month and had a great time in Hawaii I would stay at Maui Vista again there are many nice units but this is not one of them. I did take pics of the unit when I arrived just in case to prove the condition and I was not responsible for any damage!

Overall very good

It would be nice if it was updated a little more. Also having to replace toilet paper, paper towel, laundry pods, and garbage bags seems a little cheap. Whe i arrived, about 930pm, there was a lot of waiting for security to figure out our parking pass and find our place which was a little exhausting but overall i would definitely do this again. Tvanks for the exoerience 😊

Great location, comfortable condo.

Great location right across from Charley Young Beach. We had a supermarket nearby to walk to as well, lots of shops. Being in the first building made access to the beach super easy. Apartment was dated as stated in the add, but the property managers made sure to make us aware prior to our booking. This was not an issue for us, and it met our needs completely.

Fantastic location

Our stay at this condo was fantastic! While the unit may be a bit dated and in need of renovations, its spacious layout is perfect for larger families. Traveling with my three adult children was a breeze – everyone had their own comfortable bed, a rarity in Hawaii at an affordable price. The two FULL bathrooms were a great convenience. The air conditioning was effective, even prompting us to turn it off one night due to the rooms getting too chilly. The lanai provided a picturesque view of palm trees and glimpses of the ocean in the distance. The unit location was unbeatable, being in the building closest to the road, providing a short walk across to a stunning beach. Snorkeling right off the beach and witnessing breathtaking sunsets made our stay truly memorable. On certain days, we even spotted sea turtles swimming nearby. For those preferring alternatives to the beach, three pools, numerous tennis courts, and barbeque facilities were available. The unit itself was well-equipped with two air mattresses, two beach umbrellas, three beach chairs, and four tennis rackets with balls during our stay. The management company was outstanding, offering prompt and efficient service. Despite the dated interior and the need for updates, this place is a budget-friendly gem, especially for those requiring ample space, multiple beds, and a fully functional kitchen. The unbeatable price makes it an ideal choice, and I would gladly stay here again!

We had a great time in this neighborhood in Maui. The beach (right across the street) was fantastic. The condo itself was dated but functional with well-functioning appliances. It would benefit from a few more kitchen utensils (and desperately needs a new grater!). We had a wonderful stay!

Very disappointed of 1423

We rented the Maui Vista Unit 1423, confirmation # 19577 from July 24 to August 7. It is with disappointment to inform you that the unit was found dirty, infested with cockroaches and completely abandoned. We have rented from Maui Vista before and we never encounter a dirty unit infested with cockroaches. I reported to AAOceanfront the issue and they send someone to clean the unit. The excuse I got from them was that cockroaches leave in the tropical and they are part of the environment. When I first saw the unit in the Vrbo website, I was made aware by AAOceanfront that the unit was not updated. I have that in my mind, but I never imagined that my first impression as soon I walked in to find a unit abandoned, dirty, with cockroaches coming out the counters, sink and stove. Also, when I signed the contract with oceanfront of the unit in a good rental condition, not updated (Standard). To me this was not in good conditions to rent it, I understand STANDARD, but this was not even average. In the past I rented STANDARD units at Maui Vista in more than excellent condition, very clean! This is not what you advertise in Vrbo. I am completely disappointed of the situation because my vacation turned into a cleaning and fumigating situation. One thing is that the unit was not updated (old) and another thing is the unit abandoned, very dirty and infested with cockroaches. I have pictures backing up what I am reporting. We have stayed in Maui Vista for years and we never encounter a situation like this where the unit is dirty and infested of cockroaches. Cockroaches come from dirty conditions and that place has been abandoned, unit 1423 does not reflect the quality of Maui Vista. A deep cleaning needs to happen in bathrooms, dirty dishes, dirty utensils, carpet not clean, counter tops not fully cleaned, bathtubs needed to be scrubbed more efficiently, floor was not completely cleaned, bathroom furniture was very dirty, balcony was not clean. The rental price for the unit 1423 is not worth! The unit does not reflect the quality that Vrbo advertise. I am not asking for luxury, or top of the line, just a simple cleaning, sanitizing and free from cockroaches. I need to discuss the issue further with one of your agents. Please call me 408 4996531

Hawaiian Wedding Trip

Our family of 3, father and mother in law stayed here for a family member’s wedding near Kihei. The location was perfectly close to everything we needed and we were able to venture out without needing to drive too far. The beach was walking distance and the room had the most amazing view from the balcony. The condo space was amazing for a family stay. Providing privacy for each family with the separate rooms and loft. We had an amazing and comfortable stay here. Will very much be looking into the same condo on our next trip to Kihei.
