Needed a place to crash for two nights
Posted Aug. 17, 2023 on HomeAwayI was in Kirkwood for a race. Needed a place to lay my head. Didn’t need a kitchen etc, location was key and clean too. This hit the mark and would do it again. Thank you for a great stay.

Basic accommodation in good location; heating issues
Posted Dec. 11, 2022 on HomeAwayWe stayed 1/3 nights because of a storm. Weird thing is that you can’t control the thermostat - it’s controlled remotely by the host. When we got in (around 8:30 pm) we immediately messaged the host through the app because the room was unbearably hot. Not only an issue for us, but for our Bernese Mountain Dog who doesn’t do well in heat. No response. Tried calling - didn’t go through. Also texted - no response. Ended up sleeping on the floor because heat rises. Got a response after 9 am that the temperature had been turned down. We left feeling exhausted and dried out. Mega shame

Great cozy place right on the slopes
Posted Apr. 29, 2021 on HomeAwayMy son and I went for a weekend trip to Kirkwood for Spring skiing and met up with some friends who were staying at the Meadows.
I wasn’t sure how it would go because Kirkwood is somewhat isolated, the room does not have a kitchen, and there aren’t many food options at Kirkwood. Couple that with Covid restrictions, and it was going to be tough. As it turns out, for a weekend, this location was a good call. We were next to the store, and despite the fact that the prices were outrageously expensive (box of cereal was $10, for example), it was the only place you could get hot breakfast food before hitting the slopes.
Anyways, the convenience of being near the store was nice.
As for the room itself, it was exactly what we needed: a nice place to crash after skiing for the day. The room was clean, and had everything we needed: towels, sheets, blankets, soap, shampoo, etc.
there is a small fridge, and we used that to store some drinks.
The Roku TV remote was out of batteries, but we didn’t figure it out until the night before we were going to leave. So, not a big deal as it just meant we were able to get up earlier for the next day; we notified Brianna about it and I’m sure the batteries will be replaced.
The only thing that was a little tough was just the entry. We arrived late due to traffic, and initially went to the wrong set of doors to enter the building, and the entry for the building is unlit until you open the doors. Once we figured that out, it was fine. The other thing is just remembering all the codes to get in: the code to get into the elevator area, the code to access the three different units on the floor, the code to access the unit. It is this way for all the units at Kirkwood; this is not a complaint—more a comment on my memory skills.
In any event, I had a great time staying at the place, and we would gladly return. Thanks, Brianna for having us!

Fantasic Location! Great for Weekend Trips
Posted Mar. 24, 2021 on HomeAwayFamily (wife + 2 kids) had a blast at Kirkwood. The location is unbeatable, you can ski/skate down to #1 (Snowkirk) lift and start you day or the other lifts #11, #10, #5 are a short walk away. The description of the room is spot on. Talking to other owners on the property the building was meant to be a hotel, but half way through planning they turned it into condos. The room is slightly smaller than an average sized hotel room. Plenty of blankets and two space heaters are in the room. The kids (5 and 9) loved sleeping on the top bunk. The room is great for a long weekend trip, any longer length of stay I would probably find something bigger. The owner was very quick to response to all my questions. Overall great experience.

Great Location but poor communication
Posted Mar. 22, 2021 on HomeAwayThe location and the property are great. When we arrived the parking space spot for the property was taken & all the spots for 'guests.' We were left with nowhere to park by the property. When I reached out to the property manager, I never got a response. We ended up parking in a 'no overnight parking' area for the first night (received a parking violation notice) and luckily we were able to move our car for the second night we were there.

Coldest but not the chillest spot in Kirkwood
Posted Feb. 4, 2021 on HomeAwayImmediately upon opening our car door we were pitted in a parking match due to poor description and instructions which led 3 groups believing they had the rights to the one parking spot. The room code was incorrect but the owner quickly picked up my call and gave us the correct code. The room was clean with a great view but was very cold with no thermostat and no additional blankets or space heater. When we reached out (via text) to the owner about how to heat up the room and we got no response. Had to stay in our base layer and cuddle under the two available blankets to stay warm.

Great location
Posted Feb. 3, 2021 on HomeAwayThis is an extremely convenient location right near Chair #1. Hotel room set up with a decent sized fridge for what you need for a few days. Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Building is a bit old, so there are limited plugs and the temp was a little cold, but the space heater in the room did the trick to keep us warm. Recommend staying here for a few days!
