Guest Access:

You will receive a link to an online guest book when it gets close to your arrival date. You will receive the link by email and text. The home has an electronic lock at the bottom level where the cars are parked. A code will be generated into your guest book just before your arrival day.



The Neighborhood:

Old world plantation-style buildings beautifully set in thirty-five acres of banyan trees, orchid gardens, palm groves, koi ponds, lagoon, tropical flowers, manicured lawns, and the perfect white sandy beach with the magnificent ocean. The plantation`s feel and ambiance areas through the building sites were selected to preserve the natural beauty of the property.



In the opposite direction, it is a three-minute walk to The Poipu Shopping Village which houses the famous Keoki`s Restaurant, other fine dining options including the new Thai Bistro and Sushi Bar, island favorites like Puka Dog and Papalani`s gelato, entertainment, shops for sundries, clothing, art, jewelry, and more. This unit has a great view not only from its lanai but also from both the kitchen and dining areas.



The location of the building is further an asset because of convenience. This location is equidistant from the ocean and beaches of the Poipu Shore as it is from the amenities offered by the Poipu Shore Village restaurants, entertainment, and shops.



Getting Around:

When visiting Kauai, we highly recommend renting a car to enhance your experience and give you the freedom to explore the island at your own pace. While there are other transportation options available, such as the Kauai Bus, it's important to note that the bus service may not run as frequently as you might expect.



Having a rental car allows you to easily access all the incredible sights and attractions that Kauai has to offer. From the stunning Na Pali Coast to the breathtaking Waimea Canyon, having your own transportation gives you the flexibility to visit these iconic locations on your own schedule.

The stay was great, we loved the area and beautiful gardens. Being able to walk to the beach and the athletic club and local restaurants was great. The condo was comfortable and has everything you need. The beach chairs, umbrella and cooler was so helpful! The management was very fast to respond to any questions and took care of an issue we had immediately. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Even though we were in the building closest to the road (building 39), we were pleasantly surprised how easy and quick it was to get to the beach. Beautiful grounds for walking. Great Place

This is our third stay at Kiahuna Plantation. It's a great location. Easy walk to the beach and shopping with restaurants across the street. The unit was clean and kitchen was well stocked. Communication with management was excellent. If you need to do laundry, its not real close to this unit. Also be aware that is closer to a main road which can be quite busy at times. One con is that the pool is not on the property, but acrossthe street. We were aware of this when making our reservation.

Great location, beach and pool at your fingertips

Overall our stay was amazing. The condo is just within walking distance of everything we needed! We took advantage of the Poipu athletic club almost everyday, and had the space we needed for our 7 month old daughter. The Poipu shopping center was just across the street where we got delish gelato and Thai food. The bed and bedding could use updating, and make sure to pack bug spray. I got many mosquito bites (they like my blood) sitting out on the lanai, but my husband was just fine. All small things relative to our relaxing and enjoyable stay! The management company was fantastic with communication, and we didn’t need to rely on them for any issues. Keep up the great customer service :)

My wife and I stayed at this VRBO for 10 days and enjoyed our time tremendously. All photos and listing details were exact. The only things that we didn't enjoy were out of our control - construction above us and road noise. Location of this unit is great and super quiet. We would definitely recommend/stay at this place again!

Kiahunan Plantation one bedroom condo

Nice older condo. Easy in and out. Close to the restaurants and shops in Whaler’s. No pool on premises. Have to go down Poipu Rd. to access pool, gym and cafe. Really nice gym/ pool area but a slight inconvenience to get there across Poipu road. A bit loud with the road noise but nothing that would dissuade me from renting again. TV didn’t work when we arrived and it took a couple of days to get maintenance out to fix it. We’re not on island to watch TV but we do enjoy the occasional game etc. Also found it odd there weren’t any cleaning supplies. Desk says they don’t supply them even though there’s a placard asking you to keep the place clean. We purchased and donated some
 All in all, close to where we wanted to be and walking distance to beach sunset. We’ll definitely consider renting again

We had a beautiful week long stay at this condo! Everything about it was amazing! Very comfortable, and it had everything we needed! The king sized bed was very comfortable, and the condo was super clean! We loved the lanai, and were so happy that there were two lounge chairs along with a table with 4 chairs! We were also so happy to find Tommy Bahama beach chairs...3, and beach umbrellas! You donÂŽt need to bring these to the beach, as the resort provides chairs down at the beach, however, we love Tommy Bahama chairs because they recline, and they are easy to carry down to the beach because of the back pack straps. The walk to the absolutely gorgeous beach only took 5 mintues, and we are in our 60s, so probably even shorter for younger folks! The walk throught the resort grounds is beautiful, and shady!! I cannot say enough about the beach! The waves were incredible, and we were able to snorkel right at our beach...we even got to swim with a sea turtle!! Right down the beach to the left, there is an area where Monk Seals beach themselves, and also sea turtles! ItÂŽs just amazing to see them so up close and in their natural habitat!! Although this condo is the farthest from the beach, it is the closest to the Poipu Shopping Village, which is where all the great restaurants, WhalerÂŽs General Store, Starbucks, and gelato shop are!! 2 minute walk...we were there every day!! No worries about not have AC...we never needed it once!! The ocean breeze is amazing!! We will be back!

Convenient location

When we arrived at the property, it was around 8pm, our backup key card didn’t work, the kiosk to get the other key card wasn’t working either, and it said there was no such reservation with the code provided. I contacted management, but they said I couldn’t do anything other than go back to the kiosk and try again. Then mgmt called back and gave us a # to security, who opened the door for us without asking for proof of stay, but was very kind bc we had our 1 year old daughter with us who was extremely cranky being that it was 2am back at home. We had no working key card until the next morning when someone finally responded to our text. That being said, if you need assistance, text before the evening hours as they do not respond in the evening. We weren’t happy about being nearly homeless on our first night in Kauai after an 11 hour flight. Otherwise, the place is nice, convenient and walking distance to the beach. There’s a beautiful garden walk right outside through the back that leads to the beach where there’s a walking path and restaurants. Right across the street is a little shopping center where you can get breakfast and Starbucks. The TV didn’t work, but I didn’t care about that. The carpet gets damp if the fans aren’t on. There’s an ant trail in the kitchen by the garbage pail. Little flies in the bathtub, which is probably from the dampness. But everything else was fine with us. Would I stay here again? Sure! But I’d make sure they check that the key card works first before I arrive.

It rained a lot and many of our excursions got cancelled. The roosters wake you up about 2 am. Location is pretty good. Short drive to many good places. The athletic club really needs an adult olny hot tub.

The condo was exactly as advertised. It was very well equipped with everything you could need.

The property is located overlooking the cactus garden with a partial view of the ocean. The gardens are very well maintained.

Perfect family vacation spot

This unit is on keahuna beach, in the plantation on poipu. The unit overlooks a beautiful garden and is a short walk to the ocean. I forgot all about work, responsibilities, and our dog back home while being here.
