Green House and Amity Poshtel are owned by the same group. Under 30s should consider staying at Amity Poshtel, just about 10 meters up the road. Amity seems to cater to the younger traveller. Nothing wrong with Green House though. This is a cheap, safe, clean place I spent 6 nights at while exploring the area and using Krabi as a home base. Down the street from the hotel on the corner of the busy Maharaj Road street there is a restaurant that serves incredible steamed dumplings of all varieties for really cheap. Otherwise it's the night market about a 15 minute walk away. The hotel offers a standard western breakfast but you can go up the road to the restaurant on the corner for steamed dumplings for breakfast as well. You see a lot of Thais sitting there in the morning. If you are in the area with some time, in front of the 711 down the Maharaj Road towards the night markets etc you can catch a white 'bus', a pickup truck with seats in the back, right by the 711. They take you to Ao Nang beach and back for 50 or 60 baht each direction and run every 30 minutes or so all day until about 6.30 pm. Once at Ao Nang beach, after you explore that area you HAVE TO take a long boat around the peninsula to Railey Beach. That costs 200 baht return. Everyone agrees that it is the most incredible beach in all of Asia. The west facing one. The other options on Railey are all within about a 20 minute walk. Go to RAILEY!

I will not be back again.

This is a very old hotel but recently repainted but the furniture remsun old and tired. My bathroom door was broken and csnnot close. I reported it to the reception to have it fixed. At night I find cockroaches running around d in the bathroom floor. They need pest control to remove these pests. The breakfast is very basic and of limited choices. The popular Wslking Street is about 20 mins walk away. The reception is very good, friendly and helpful. Apart from that I am not encorage to be back again.

Would stay again

Really enjoyed our stay here, location is perfect for night Markets and bus stop to the beach, can also take a bus to tiger cave. Rooms were clean though a little bit dated compared to the photos advertised, but not enough to effect our stay. Wifi was good, shower was hot and A/C was powerful.

Great Hotel with Low Rates

No charge for early check in (upon availability). Halal restaurant. Wide Room. Massage & spa nearby. 5mins walk to night market. Overall very good. Highly recommend for hotel in Krabi downtime.

Terrible customer service

If you arrive in the evening, be prepared to receive little to zero customer service nor human compassion from the attending supervisor. We called for pickup from the airport to be told "We never pick up from the airport. We only drop off to the airport". Taxi service will rob you of 800THB to get to the hotel that is roughly 8km away. Even after showing them the hotel reservation printout showing 500THB ROUNDTRIP AIRPORT TRANSFER the man vehemently denied such service. When told it was false advertising and for his hotel to get things straight with Expedi cause I would have booked with another hotel that would puck us up, he shot back with I had to take the issue up with Expedia. That Expedia provided incorrect information of their own accord. The next day, when I took it up with the morning supervisor, she confirmed the hotel does provide RT airport transfers and apologized that the night crew were 'probably confused'. We booked two rooms. One of the rooms had a VERY pungent mildew smell. When asked to change rooms we were told they were full and to call back in the morning. The next day, they moved us to the room next door. The stench in this room was much stronger than in the first room! When asked for another room, they said they were fully booked and called housekeeping to fix the problem. Housekeeping came up and sprayed the room with airfreshner.

Exactly what we needed for our night stop over on route to koh lanta. If you pay for 5 star you get 5 star. This place was what we expected given the price. Location was ideal and exploring the local night food market was good fun

I was very impressed with my stay here. The hotel is in a quiet area, close to the night market in Krabi town. Staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. My room was spacious and clean. WiFi connection was good and there was a safe in my room. For what I paid I feel I got real value for money and would certainly return.
