A big shout out to Ambassador Robert! The free shuttle service from this hotel was so nice and our driver Robert made the day! He was knowledgeable and fun. He gave us great information on the area and a walking path suggestion. The property is nice the room was small but had everything we needed. Ask for Robert if you have questions about the area! He even checked on us when we returned from our adventures!

This was our 4th time staying at this hotel. Same nice maintenance and cleanliness. Hotel sits next to the park on the beach in LaJolla Cove with several restaurants and shops in walking distance. It seemed to me like the property did not have the same high level of attention to guest satisfaction as in the past. First off $45 per day parking and a $40.00 resort fee was high priced. I guess these are now standard hotel charge rates…Parking was $25.00 in past stays and no resort fees. Also they used to have a couple guys at the beach entrance to set up beach chairs and umbrellas for you. Not this time? We had a room with 1 king bed. The bed and bedding were comfortable. Room had no microwave which was a little inconvenient but did have a small coffee pot and some house coffee.

Beautiful location. Definitely not for business though. WI-FI was off for two days and phones did not work either. If all you want is food and beach, this is a good spot, but if you have business needs go up the coast to the Hilton.
