With the lake not yet active after the storm I was concerned if the younger adults would be bored or not have a great time. We all had a blast. That game table is a hit! Good for. A few minutes entertainment or several hours depending on what you want to play. Very comfortable beds. Very beautiful place. Easy to use tbs and kitchen ware. Enough technology to impress. But not ultra technical gadgets to complicated to use. We had an awesome time! Will stay again if available. Quiet neighborhood peaceful. Enjoyed hot tub. Wildlife was present.
Place was perfect for us-kayaks were a wonderful bonus-lake is clean and not crowded.
House was spotless and had everything we needed. Roads are very winding-it takes a long time to get to other towns-if we lived in NC, hanging out at the house and lake would have just fine, but we also wanted to explore Asheville, Black Mountain etc. Such an amazing part of the country!
Excellent cabin located on lake lure. The cabin was very clean, spacious and had everything we nedded. The beds were huge and very comfortable. Plenty of things to do near by. Grocery store is about a 10 minute drive. Overall an excellent place to stay.
Very clean property, well maintained and had everything needed for our stay. Loved having kayaks, water access and a hot tub. Beds were very comfortable too! Would definitely recommend!
Great cabin with a nice view of the mountains and lake from the front porch. Everything was as described. The hosts were awesome and very responsive. We wouldn't hesitate renting from them again.
Very clean, cute and cozy. Easy check-in and checkout. Easy to access any information needed. Mountain road getting to the cabin has multiple switch backs so take your time. Enjoyed having close access to the lake as well as the kayaks. Hot tub is lovely on the back deck.
Only small annoyance was there was construction going on next door, some of the trucks going by sounded like tanks.
Otherwise, wonderful placeâŠ.would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others.
Stayed with a group for New Years and the experience was perfect. This cabin has a great view overlooking the lake and is just a few steps from the water. The property was very clean and all amenities in the listing were available / working properly. There are many sights to see and activities to enjoy in the surrounding towns (Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, & Bat Cave), and Asheville is a short ride up the road. Communication with property owners was on point and quite timely. Booking and check-in was a breeze, and the highly detailed, online Guestbook/House Manual was very helpful. I would most certainly book again, or with one of their other properties in the future, when in the area.
My family stayed here for Thanksgiving and had a great time. The house was just as pictured, well equipped, and actually had decent WiFi (hard to find in the area) for streaming movies on our rainy days. We liked being able to take our dogs, and have the whole family together. Kitchen was well equipped, but not stuffed full of unnecessary dishes that filled every cabinet- there was actually a free cabinet to put food away, which I really appreciated! The only downside was that the mattresses were uncomfortable, especially in the master bedroom. But other than that, everything was great!
The property was fantastic. Beautiful home and view, activities on the lake close to the property. Only comment is in the dark / if you come back later it is not always easy to get to - nothing that should detract from renting this propriety. Good for older couples or people to be aware of - this is truly a beautiful home.
The home was as described, clean, and well appointed. We were convenient to town and had everything we needed. The steepness of the hill the house is on made using the golf cart and the amenities down the hill somewhat cumbersome, but the house was a worthwhile stay nonetheless. We enjoyed our stay!
We had a great stay. We loved sitting in the hot tub at night looking at the stars. We even saw one firefly. The fenced in deck was great for our dog. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen has every gadget you could need including a pancake griddle. Beautiful dishes. But, really no food, so remember to bring sugar for your coffee, oil or butter for your pan etc. There is a grocery store about 9 min. away which was great. The roads in are twisty mountain roads and the driveway is very steep, but we managed to fit two vehicles and still could get the golf cart in and out. The owners were very communicative and sent a message when they heard from the power company that the power went out in a storm. They had flashlights in all the bedrooms which was really helpful. We did see a bear from the deck on the first day, so take the bear warnings seriously. There are a lot of forms to sign, but I was able to follow all the instructions. I found their digital guest book really helpful. We would definitely stay again. The three full bedrooms make it a nice size for a family. My in-laws were thrilled it was all one-level with no stairs except 3 to get in the house.
Lake My Day was amazing! I was somehow able to snag this lake house last minute for a quick midweek vacation for my family and it did not disappoint!! We are a family of 6 with 4 young children (6,4,2&1) and everything was perfect. The kids loved roasting marshmallows by the fire at night with perfect views of Lake Lure as the sun was setting. We all enjoyed dips in the hot tub and dinner on the back deck which felt like you were in a tree house surrounded by all the tree branches. The golf cart to get back and forth from the deck/kayaks was so convenient although we did choose to walk a couple of times and it was not bad at all; a nice little work out to burn some of the kids energy. We fished from the docks, swam and paddled around in the kayaks on the water. Lake My Day is the perfect location, quietly tucked away for some peaceful seclusion but also just a short 20 min ride to Lake Lure shops, dining and Chimney Rock. I highly recommend doing the climb to the top of Chimney Rock and the short hike to Hickory Nut Waterfall. The views are amazing and itâs all family friendly hikes. Overall the house was very clean, updated and had everything we needed for our stay (including a pack and play for the baby) The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had and provided a ton of information regarding the house / area in their website upon booking.
We highly recommend Lake My Day and look forward to when we can get back for a longer stay!
beautiful cabin home - easy to find. quiet neighborhood. the Infinity game table was THE BEST - along with the Hot Tub. was a brief but fully restorative stay. thank you !!
The property was absolutely gorgeous! The house was extremely clean and felt like home away from home. The road to the property was a little tricky, as it was very steep. But it is the mountains after all. Would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful cabin. We had our kids with us, 3 under 3 and we truly appreciated the simple decorations (not lots of stuff for them to break lol), cleanliness, baby gear & easy access. Hot tub worked great, we walked d
Great view of the lake from the porch. Tons of windows with beautiful autumn foliage peeking through. My "big" kids enjoyed the game table so much. Furniture was comfortable and beds were super comfortable.
The property was clean and new, it was well appointed with anything we could have needed and more. We loved it here, and would have extended our stay if there wasn't another guest who had booked the home. Property management was very responsive when we had a problem with the door code. We would stay again if they would have us!
David and Karenâs home is lovely, perched above Lake Lure. It is one of the newer houses (2 others being built alongside it) in an established neighborhood around the lake. My husband and I met my sister and her husband for a birthday weekend, and the house met our needs perfectly. We had access to the deck hot tub, golf cart to get down to the lake, and kayaks. The house itself is neat as a pin and we had more than enough room. The galley kitchen is not large enough for many cooks at one time, which worked out ok!
Check-in/out and other policies are plainly stated, so there were no surprises. We never required any real assistance from the owners, but our communication with them made me confident that they were only a text or phone call away and ready to help.
Iâm frankly amazed that the house was available during peak foliage season on rather short notice. Our good fortune!! Weâd love to stay again, and will plan accordingly. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!
