Lovely Lake Lure Anniversary
Posted Oct. 27, 2022 on HotelsThis was our first trip to 1927 Lake Lure Hotel but not the last I hope. Staff was excellent and so helpful. The room was very clean. The whole property is so pretty and the antiques are a very nice touch in the lobby as well as on every landing. The only thing I would add is to have restaurant open we would have rather to have eaten there. Hope to come back with my best friends for a girl trip soon.

This was a very nice, clean hotel with very friendly staff. The only thing was I thought our room would be in the part of the inn but instead it was in their motel annex section. Still very nice and clean but not what I was expecting.

Overall it was a wonderful place to stay as always. I had four rooms. One was extremely NOT cleaned…. Lots of hair in the bed and in the floor and bathroom. It was a room for one of my kids and his family and he didn’t tell me or show me til too late to say anything. Room was musty also. Everything else was really nice.

This is such a charming property and location. I wanted to love it, BUT the rooms are tiny and ours positively reeked of mildew. We had booked a two night stay, but decided to leave after the first night. The person at the front desk was extraordinarily kind, refunding our second night, giving us a discount on the first night, and apologizing profusely. I was really expecting to have to pay the full amount, so that was really nice.

Somewhere in time

The room had a king bed where a Queen would have been sufficent
have to admitt we are spoiled with Hilton Hotels but for a change we were pleasantly suprised

We enjoyed this historic place especially all the art, music boxes and antiques throughout. The room was cozy and quiet with a beautiful view of Lake Lure. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay to celebrate our anniversary.
