Nice house but…
The initial contact was good and the owner responded to inquires timely. However, on the day of arrival we were unable to reach the owner for check-in instructions. After speaking with several VRBO representatives and several hours on the phone, we were able to gain access to the home after 7:30 pm using the same code as previous guests. When we arrived there was food on the counter and in the refrigerator. The kitchen counters, kitchen floor, and outside patio was not clean. Personal items from previous guest were left behind. All of this left us unsure if someone was coming back since we used the same door code, which was stressful and scary. The Christmas tree was still up along with Christmas decorations left in the living room (not a deal breaker but just one more thing). The dryer was not working properly causing us to buy more towels, Lastly, a bed was missing leaving us short a sleeping space. The owner finally contact us around 8 pm, she was on an international flight. She did apologize, immediately sent someone over to clean, change the door code, and offered to pay for Uber Eats dinner. We were refunded the cleaning fees and received extra One key cash. Hopefully the owner will improve communications, address the cleaning issues, and either replace the missing bed or change the description. If she does this house would be a great rental. The rooms are big and decorated nicely. The kitchen is well equipped and the location is convenient to everything.
