This historic and charming farmhouse is surrounded by nearly an acre of gardens. Located in the picturesque village of Lakeside, Michigan in the heart of Harbor Country. Less than a 90 minute drive from Chicago. A five minute walk to Lake Michigan's beautiful Pier Street Beach and renowned antique stores and markets.

Owner very responsive throughout process. Lots of spaces to enjoy on the property- summer house all screened, fire pit, front screened porch on main house. Lot is very wooded. Great jumping off point for area activities. Well appointed kitchen which we used a lot.

I enjoyed staying here so much. The host is gracious and you can tell fond family memories have been made here throughout the years. There is more here than the pictures suggest. The yard is great and the proximity to the beach is top notch. For those that know the area, I'm happy to report that Flagship fish market is alive and well under new ownership. Book your stay here. I certainly hope to be back again soon.

We loved our stay at this adorable cottage in Lakeside. The cottage and grounds are so charming, the kitchen was well equipped and we made good use of the bikes. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Getaway

Great family vacation!

We had a great trip and the cottage was a wonderful location for our family to rest and eat between adventures. The host, Bill, was very helpful and had great communication. Checking in and out was a breeze and we felt right at home with plenty of sleeping space for our family of 6 (with younger kids ages 3-11.)

Long Weekend Getaway

Really enjoyed the cottage. Very comfortable beds and a wonderful front porch for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The owner has a lot of amenities including bikes in the shed that my daughter and her friend loved being able to use and a fun inter tube we took down to the beach!

This cottage was so spacious and peaceful. There is only 1 bathroom, but it is very spacious. The grounds and "hangout"bonus cottage in the back was a great plus. We love this area and its super close to the State Park! Beautiful weather!

We had such a great time at the Lakeside Grove Cottage! It was clean, spacious, and close to antiques stores, the beach, breweries and coffee shops! Lovely cottage near beautiful nature

This was such a perfect place to stay with our extended family. We had five adults staying (two couples plus a parent), plus two dogs. It was such a comfortable home base for exploring all of the beautiful nature nearby. It had everything we needed to cook and stay in, but also nice dining options nearby. We had so much fun getting to spend time as a family over the holidays, and this was a great place to do it.

The cottage was very cozy and clean. The location was great. It was close to New Buffalo and the dunes. We were able to tour the wineries and breweries in the area as well. It had all the conveniences of home and felt like a vacation. The best part was I was able to bring my dog!!!!!!

Exactly what we needed

Our family has a home right around the corner and this was a perfect space to have as extra living space. The home is well stocked and clean. We would definitely stay again and maybe in the summer to enjoy the backyard.

This is a perfect rental in Harbor Country. The house is a cute cottage with all the amenities of home. Our family enjoyed the eat-in kitchen as well as the screened in porch. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained with a fire pit and a screened in shed for family fun. The beach is just a short walk away and is also very well maintained. Very relaxing atmosphere
