"Property is beautiful. We were not there to golf, but the golf amenities were great. Nice location to quickly get to the tram to go into Edinburgh. Much bigger hotel than I realized. Our room was on the top and south facing. Room got really warm. The little fan in the room was not enough to cool things down much. Restaurant food at night was really good. Standard breakfast fair was good. Over all our experience was fine."

"No laundry facilities for guest use—only laundry service. Otherwise fabulous! The staff were so friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check in early in the morning, which was a lifesaver because we were wiped out from traveling. They helped us figure out how to use the train station when we were leaving as well. The train station is a stone’s throw from the hotel—very convenient. We loved our stay and would stay here again!"

"Great hotel in a great location. The free water refill station was a nice surprise and the pool in the sister hotel next door can be used for free and has castle views. The only potential point of improvement for me: The mattress was a bit too hard for me as a side sleeper."
