We are from Johnny Morris country, and we loved that Bass Pro is at this resort. The country/western theme of the Silverton Lodge goes well with Bass Pro. The clean rooms were uniquely finished and decorated, which we appreciated. The downside was that the hallway on the first floor between us and the casino smelled like smoke some. Luckily, our room seemed smoke-free. The downside (for any of these large casino resorts, really!) is that navigating the first time is difficult. We parked in an area that, of course, ended up being furthest from the hotel lobby and our room. More signage outside would be helpful. Being forced to go through the casino to reach our room each time was less than desirable. Exterior doors from the lodging hallways would be ideal. We literally moved our car so it was parked directly in front of our room window, but we had a fairly long walk to actually haul our luggage. The only downsides in the room itself are that the cool looking barn doors on the bathroom do not completely close, so they leave a large gap. Also, like many hotels, somehow they always seem to think having one suitcase stand for a four-person room is adequate. This always means using every available surface, including desks and chairs, for luggage rather than putting it on the floors. Then, your relatively large and comfortable hotel room becomes less so. We did not have time to use any of the amenities, but the pool and hot tub area did look inviting.

Convenient location off the strip, free self parking, restaurant that is open late, Starbucks in the casino. I added an extra day to my reservation last minute and I did not need to check out and move to another room which was nice. There was however a few things that I didn't like. Sewage smell coming from the bathroom sink drain and shower drain. The sliding bathroom doors that were NOT flush to the wall so there was enough of a gap between the door and the wall to see inside the bathroom and directly at the shower. Actually enough of a gap to put my entire hand through the gap. Lastly, ambient music that played in the halls that can be heard from the room. Otherwise I did like the updated room, the theme, the bathroom was relatively clean, the casino smoke smell did not transfer to the hotel area, the rooms were quiet despite the music (as far as voices, foot steps go)

A great place to lodge without the hassle that comes when staying on The Strip. We were pleasantly surprised by the rooms at the Silverton. They were clean and spacious! The room was stocked with snacks (not free, but a nice option when its late and you have the munchies!) and a fridge where we could store our own drinks. The many restaurants on the property were excellent and if you want to take a 5 minute walk, the Cracker Barrel Restaurant is behind the parking lot. Would def stay here again!

It took two hours for me to check in because the reservation was made on Expedia in my wife's name and she had to cancel because of illness that morning. The hotel charged us an extra $50 to make the reservation in my name instead of hers. This procedure defies common sense. We share the same last name and have been married for 55 years. I am in a wheelchair and on heart medication. Waiting two hours to check in was not the best way to treat a guest.
