It’s not a top tier hotel but it was very clean and acceptable. I typically like a higher standard of hotel. It had its own unique charm. I absolutely loved how friendly the staff was and the free parking was just icing on the cake. If I need affordable accommodations Ahern will be considered in the future.

First impression, terrible. I pulled up to the valet area at check-in time, and a sign was out indicating that the valet stand was closed. Valet was closed. At check-in time. In Las Vegas (and valet is listed as an amenity). Some idiot in a white Ahern truck almost hit me in the parking garage as he whipped out of his space to make another attempt at jamming the giant truck into a small space. No security or any kind was evident at the garage, despite its proximity to one of the seediest neighborhoods in Vegas. I asked the clerk at check in about my Expedia VIP perk and she stated "I've never heard of that," when I explained to her that I was supposed to receive an upgrade if it was available she replied, "we are full." That was a blatant lie considering I was the ONLY person in the lobby at check-in time. I tried to order a BLT (which was on the menu) from the downstairs restaurant. They advised me that at that time (~3:30) I could only order off of the happy hour menu. The burger I got had bacon, lettuce, and tomato on it. Make it make sense. They also didn't have enough cash in the register to make change for $50 on a $40 order. I came back late from my work event and a few sketchy dudes were playing cornhole in the downstairs area. Other than that, the "we are full" property was dead. I couldn't even snag a soda at the gift shop/sundries store, which apparently closed at 10:00pm. LOL. My psychic powers tell me this property will close soon.

Our stay at the Ahern was so nice. It was very quite but classy feeling inside. The rooms were normal size room but very clean. Beds were comfortably. Our friends were all staying at the Golden Nugget so we were there often but if was really refreshing to leaning drive just 5 min away and be in a safe anna quite place to sleep and relax.

A much appreciated breath of fresh air away from the strip and the hustle and bustle of the rest of Vegas. The parking is amazing, the vast majority of the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the room was spectacular - and you cannot beat the price. We found our new Vegas hotel.
