WHAT’S NEARBY
Centrally located between the communities of Plain and Leavenworth, this home is a great base camp for adventure. The charming small town of Plain is seven miles north, where you'll find wine tasting at Plain Cellars, unique gifts, and snowshoe/cross-country ski rentals at Plain Hardware (with groomed trails right across the road), and zip lines at Mountain Springs Lodge. Continue further north to Lake Wenatchee State Park, which features a swimming area, kayak/paddleboard rentals, and various hiking trails. The Bavarian-inspired town of Leavenworth is only 11 miles south, offering authentic German food, the Icicle Brewery, a wealth of local shops, whitewater rafting tours, and a full calendar of annual festivals.

The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and the hot tub was very well maintained. However, we found the couch to be infested with fleas, so we decided to rewash our bedding as a precaution. Contrary to the listing, the property is not creekside; the area leading up to the cabin is overgrown, and the back deck appears to be in poor condition and potentially unsafe. The outdoor space is not very user-friendly. While the seclusion was a positive aspect, the cabin overall needs significant improvements considering the price.

Peaceful Winter Getaway with Hot Tub Comfort

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful creekside cabin! We visited in January, and it was such a treat to arrive and find the hot tub already warmed up—it made the cold winter nights feel luxurious and relaxing. Nestled on 5 private acres, the cabin offered the perfect mix of comfort and privacy. It was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a restful stay. The surrounding forest and peaceful setting made it easy to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, winter-friendly escape with great amenities and beautiful scenery.

This house was cute enough. But I clean and that greatly grossed me out. I was afraid to get comfortable and sit on the couch. There was dust in corners everywhere. There was some sort of yellow brown spot on the fur rug
 I could only guess it was vomit or urine. Why a fur rug?
 it can’t be cleaned. That is disturbing to me. The property was sort run down feeling. The faucet to refill the hot tub was literally broken. We live in a fifth wheel right now and I was looking forward to this anniversary getaway. Let’s just say
 I was looking forward to getting back to my fifth wheel. This place didn’t feel clean ti me. I’m sorry.

No Fireworks

Great quiet place for us and our dog. Fireworks dont work with her. VERY nice place to stay, Inside is like new other than the beds which were still OK. Very well taken care of inside. Only reason for 4 stars is the outside area around the cabin has not been taken care . They should just hire a weed person couple times a year is all. Its a woods setting so not a real issue just a FYI to owner. Will book again. Jim

The property is completely over grown and unkept. You can't even get to the creek. There is no place to enjoy outside except the driveway. This was a huge disappointment for us. We will never come back.

Favorite getaway

This was our second time booking this property and we have stayed at many around this area. We fell in love with this stay last year and decided to book again. We love that it is dog friendly and a safe area for our dog to venture around because it’s not too close to the road. Also close to Leavenworth making it easy to go to town several times during our stay.

The cabin and land is great. It was clean, warm and in a very quiet, secluded area. Wonderful little get away place. However, some of the neighbours are not friendly and don’t take kindly to strangers. We had an unfortunate interaction with a neighbour who got very upset that our dog wondered on his property. Our dog did go on his property but only for a few seconds and when I called him he can back to me. The land owner was irate. He yelled and screamed and called me a bunch of names. I normally wouldn’t care too much about an adult temper tantrum, but he said that if a person or dog goes on his property again they would be shot. I sincerely hope this was just a scare tactic, but I wouldn’t want to test this theory. I understand that people feel the need to protect their property but a simple conversation would have been done the trick. This was an honest mistake and should not have resulted in threatening our safety. If you do stay here please be very careful about the neighbours. And make sure kids and animals are safe and close. This is rural USA where people are very eager to exercise their rights to bear arms and protect their property at all costs. Other than this interaction the cabin is lovely. I would have rated it 5 stars if is wasn’t for this incident.

Very relaxing

We came over from the Olympic Peninsula to check out Leavenworth and let the kids play in the snow while we relaxed, so the cabin was perfect. As described, the driveway is steep so you’ll definitely need 4-wheel drive to get in and out when it’s plowed, but chains if it’s snowed. ❄ The cabin felt warm and cozy. We loved that firewood had been left, as well as some essentials in the kitchen so we could cook. Things that could be improved: The non-stick pan was so worn out that we deemed it unsafe to use. It should be replaced. We really enjoyed the hot tub too, but we were disappointed that it wasn’t hot enough to use until the second day that we were there. Had we not booked a second night, it would have been too cold for even a lukewarm dip. The maintenance guy also came early the next morning to do the chemicals so we couldn’t use it before we checked out either. Outside of these small things, it was a lovely stay. The layout was great and the bedrooms upstairs were very inviting and comfortable. We thought the fleece sheets and the big windows to watch the snow fall were great. The big vaulted ceilings made it feel very spacious.

Great stay with the pups

Cabin was nice and cozy. Received a text that it was ready early which was great! Wood burning stove made the stay even better. It was clean. I like that they accept pets. It was a little weird there are not any curtains or blinds, but you cannot really see any neighbors except lights off in the distance. 4WD was needed on the second day. Hot tub was a relaxing way to end the night. With that said
 hot tub maintenance man showed up unexpectedly 9:30am Sunday morning. I wasn’t told, had just got out of the shower, a didn’t have any pants on. A little heads up or maybe just wait 30 more minutes as checkout was 10am. All in all though I would stay here again!

Great Cabin In The Woods

This cabin is close to the town of Plain and Leavenworth. It has a wood stove which makes the whole cabin warm. It does get hot upstairs with the fire going. We had to go buy a lighter and wood to start the fire. There was pots and pans to make dinner and plates and utensils. It was a great place to go with the family for a holiday weekend.

Secluded Cabin In The Woods

This place gave very "guy-in-white-mask-stalks-woman-who-lives-alone-in-the-woods" vibes with how secluded it was. But I dig that, so we loved it...Perfect for Spooky Season. Stayed with friends for Oktoberfest. Cabin was cozy and the hot tub was a bonus on the chilly evenings. Place was extremely clean and had a large movie selection. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Only odd thing was that there weren't any coverings on the windows (no curtains or blinds), but with how secluded it was, it was fine. Getting in or out of the driveway may be difficult in the winter without a 4 wheel drive and tire chains. Would love to stay again next time we go to Leavenworth. Thanks!

I wanted to love this place :(

First off I 100% recommend having an AWD for this cabin. The drive way is beyond steep. We really wanted to love this place but we felt like it was super dirty. There was cobwebs everywhere, the bathroom was beyond dirty, especially the shower and toilet. We felt like our bedding wasn’t cleaned. The grass around the property was super overgrown. There was a lot of dog hair through out the cabin and the vacuum was not getting anything up. While the cabin is super beautiful, we unfortunately did not enjoy our stay.

Great cabin in the woods!

It has all the feels of a cabin in the woods of eastern, WA. The hot tub was a definite bonus and the place itself was just cute. Beds were comfy and the appliances made life easier. The ice still coating the property was a bit of a shock and it was a little difficult navigating but we all managed to stay upright. I picked this place because it was pet friendly, which I super loved but I was surprised at the amount of dog poop left around the property. Sad people don't pick up after themselves. Keep in mind, 10 miles away from Leavenworth equals a 20 minute drive, the dirt roads take an extra bit of time. Overall we had a great stay!

Beautiful and comfortable place to be stuck!

This place is lovely and well appointed. The hot tub is heavenly. Plenty of tv’s and movies, cooking equipment, comfy beds. It’s remote yet close enough for a short drive into Leavenworth or to some nice snowshoeing spots. Unfortunately the driveway is steep, hadn’t been recently plowed or sanded in spite of the recent snow and ice. Our Subaru couldn’t make it out the next day or any of the days. We made do with the supplies we brought, but there was no snowshoeing adventure or dinner out in Leavenworth, instead we had soup. We were in touch with the local Vacasa contact who said a plow would come, but the plow couldn’t get into the driveway. On the day we were to checkout the local property manager came and spent at least 5 hours working on the driveway, getting his own truck stuck, using a snowmobile and other equipment to clear the driveway and sand it. He was very kind to us and did the best he could and we did finally get out later that afternoon. Turns out guests get stuck there multiple times each winter, yet the owner won’t fix the driveway adequately. Too bad because the place is lovely and we would otherwise definitely come back, but that driveway needs to be improved for this to be a reasonable vacation rental option!!

Cozy home

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at this cozy home. It was easy communicating with the host for any questions and receiving a quick response back. It was helpful that they laid sand on the hill going down to the home, we didn’t have any issues entering and exiting which was nice. The property is secluded from other homes and felt more private, not needing to worry about bothering neighbors as much ((:

great getaway and private

This cabin is located off a very low use gravel road and tucked into the trees so it feels like no one is around. It was well furnished and very clean. The location is great, close to Leavenworth and some spectacular lakes.

The worst experience I've ever had.

This was the worst experience. The smoke was terrible due to a neighboring wildfire that we were not warned about. Me and my pregnant wife had to leave our stay after only an hour or so of being there due to not wanting to risk our health over it. Then Vacasa is refusing to give any kind of refund or make it right at all for us which is absolutely ridiculous. How they have handled this situation is upsetting and not warning of a nearby wildfire is absolutely disgraceful that they care more about a few bucks than their guests safety. NEVER STAY WITH VACASA.

Nice place but bring a 4 wheel drive vehicle!

The cabin was nice and well stocked, had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable and it was very quiet and secluded. However, beware of the driveway! It's steep and graveled and it took me three tries to get out of it with my little car, was worried we might not be able to make it out! It would also be nice if there were blinds on the bedroom windows, the sun comes up early in the summer and we were all up with it. The cabin was nice enough that our family would stay there again, but only if we brought our truck to navigate the long gravel road and steep driveway.
