The charming community of Plain, just a half mile away, offers a cafe, wine tasting room, and the coolest hardware store around, with locally made gifts and a coffee bar. In the winter months, rent cross-country skis or snowshoes and hit the groomed trails right across the road. Also in Plain, head to Mountain Springs Lodge for a spectacular Sunday brunch, guided horseback rides, and zipline tours. Just a seven-mile drive from this home, Lake Wenatchee State Park is the perfect place to take a swim in the lake, head out on the water in a boat, or hike the surrounding trails. Additional restaurants, tasting rooms, and shopping in downtown Leavenworth are just 14 miles away.

We had a lovely time. I would have appreciated more communication from the property manager. I asked a question and never had any communication back. The home was very well stocked and very comfortable. The Traeger grill needed to be cleaned.

Trip to Remember!

We loved the cabin, very cozy, and we love Leavenworth! We could not figure out how to work the fireplace, it would not turn on. Very comfortable beds, and a very well stocked kitchen. We had a bit trouble finding the wifi password, as it was not posted anywhere like in other homes we stayed in. There were no any instructions or house rules around, only on the website. The checkin process was nerve-wrecking, as I never received an e-mail with instructions, and when I called Vacasa, it took 1 hour and 48 minutes of hold time before someone finally picked up!! not to mention that I had to call 3 times, because first two times after about 40 minutes the phone call would fail due to poor connection in the mountains, so I spent 3 hours on the phone to get through to someone. I thought we would never get into that house. I am still not sure why they could not just email me the instructions (they said they had to verify my identity, but had no trouble charging my credit card without verifying my identity?) It is a wonderful cabin, just brace yourself if you have to call Vacasa.

Paradise in Plain

As soon as you enter the driveway, the beauty of this place will leave you in awe. Entering the house reveals an open entertainment area with a beautiful and well stocked kitchen. Master bedroom is very comfy and roomy. The dining table room made for some great game nights and catching up with family. 10/10 we will be staying here again.

Clean and comfortable

Home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We had some internet issues. Management was responsive in trying to assist us. Would just recommend softer pillows and some type of welcome binder typically seen in other home rentals. I saw a binder with property specs, but didn’t see anything with information on what home amenities could be used or what we needed to do for checkout. (For example, there is a hot tub + towels, but we weren’t sure if we could use it. (We didn’t). Also not sure if we needed to strip beds or take out trash upon leaving, etc.)

Beautiful cabin

Absolutely beautiful cabin in a fabulous area. We arrived the day of their first big snow storm. We couldn’t get in the driveway. They were quick to come plow. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent rental choice!

I’ve rented many times on VRBO. This is one of the best-equipped and cleanest rental we’ve had. Nicely appointed, very comfortable

We stayed at this location with 7 adults, 1 teen and 2 babies and it was perfect!!

I cannot recommend this location enough. Everyone had their own space, including two babies! We brought pack n plays for them to sleep in, which we were able to fit into the little closets in the two rooms with curtains covering the closet itself. Everyone had privacy and it was immaculate. It is seconds from the adorable hardware store and a cafe. We were able to go for some short quiet walks in the evenings and enjoy the mornings sitting on the deck. The AC in the house was amazing and high quality along with all the amenities. I was very impressed and so appreciative! Thank you!!! We hope to be back!

Lovely home in lovely setting

The cabin is an easy walk to the Plain Hardware. Beautiful split log cabin. Big yard to walk the dogs, and great location. Close enough for convenience but far enough to feel away. Decor was a little heavy on dead animals but not out of character for the cabin.

Property is as listed, convenient location, plenty of room. Only thing the kitchen was missing is salt and pepper, small issue and there is a convenience store only a mile away. We would book this property again.

Poorly managed/not as good as advertised

Pros: -Nice Area -Log cabin Cons: - Cabin is not well maintained. Examples: Outside cabin and 4 seasons room smelled like sewage. Seems they have a septic tank issue. Upstairs shower clogged and backs up. Stove top broken. Fireplace didn’t work. There were no trash bags (Had to buy some). There was no broom to clean up messes. -Poor communication/check in process. Most cabins have a book with helpful numbers and info. This did not. When we had an emergency (stove top dial broken and burner wouldn’t turn off) we searched and searched for a contact number. Closest thing was a piece of scribbled paper that said to call Vacasa with issues. Had to go to their website. No number easily identifiable to get help with emergency issues. Eventually problem solved by switching burner nobs until one worked to turn it off. - Cabin looks bigger in photos. It’s actually a very small combined living room/kitchen with lots of bedroom space. Overall: wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.

Overall a wonderful trip!

The house and property was beautiful! It's a great location! Close enough for a day trip into the town of Levenworth but far enough away to make you feel relaxed and away from the hustle and bustle of a tourist town. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the basic kitchen supplies and had plenty of plates, cups and serving wear. The ONLY disappointment was the trash situation... when we arrived there were bags of garbage (and a cardboard box of solid sheets) lined up along the side of the garage from the previous renters I'm assuming- but because of this we felt responsible for making sure it was stored during our stay so animals didn't get into it at night. There are NO instructions on where to put out the garbage- that seems to me like something that needs to be corrected ASAP. When we left, we didn't know what to do either so we lined up the previous renters garbage and our own along side the garage to avoid stinking up the house. Overall our family had a wonderful time!

Family vacation

House was awesome. Plenty of space for all. Large yard to play in and large front and back deck To relax. Couple of missing items were very basic cooking items in kitchen. Found one so,so skillet.and only one dish towel.could,use better serving dishes and better cooking pans. Overall really like the house and setting. Quiet peaceful getaway

Beautiful log home in serene and quiet Plain. Came with another family and worked perfect for 2 families. Brought our dog who loved hanging on the front porch with us. House was cleaned but still some areas could have used some extra attention but nothing we couldn't just wipe ourselves. Master bath/shower was clogged which was a but annoying to shower in standing water but we managed. Clean and comfortable beds, well cared for lawn the kids loved running around. Thank you for opening your home for us to have a nice change of scenery during these challenging times.

BEWARE: Toilet leak, dirty dishwasher, unwashed floors, no hand soap. Unfortunate for all.

We couldn’t check in early per request due to “deep cleaning for COVID”. 1. Upon arrival we had a wet entry floor. We thought it was mop water so cleaned up (floor was filthy dirty). An hour later our 7 year old fell hard, slipping in this area again. We realized the ceiling has a water leak coming from upstairs bathroom. After reaching out to Vacasa that late Afternoon, we didn’t get a response until we reached out again the next day. This never was fixed, they just turned off water to that bathroom. 2. We go to do dishes after dinner to notice that there were dirty ones in dishwasher. Even grosser was there was a toilet brush on top rack waiting to be cleaned. 3. No hand soap in any bathroom Dispenser, even after letting Vacasa know. Didn’t get fixed when they turned off water to bathroom on day 2 either. 4. We reached out to discuss some sort of reimbursement since this home was not properly cleaned or equipped. We shouldn’t pay a cleaning fee when it wasn’t clean in the first place. In addition, we paid for a 2.5 bathroom home for our group of 9 and ended up with 1.5 for our trip. Have received zero response from Vacasa or owners for over a week now. Would most definitely NOT recommend staying here unless you could guarantee cleanliness. Home itself was nice along with property.

Beautiful but dirty cabin

The cabin was warm and cozy and served us well for a small family gathering but it was very dirty inside with layers of dust and an unclean floor. The wood burning stove also appeared to not been cleaned for some time. My husband cleaned out a 5 gallon bucket full of ash. There were also no written directions on the basics of the house provided so it took us some time to find the trash cans outside since they were in a locked garage. The most upsetting finding in the house was finding a loaded gun magazine and a bump stock in a drawer in the master bedroom. Thanksfully, my husband found this and not one of the 5 young children that were also in the house. I will never rent this house again because of this.

Amazing, all 8 of us and our dog had a blast!!!

Fantastic, the House had anything and everything that you could imagine. All the cookware wood stove, gas fireplace and amazing workmanship. We’re already talking about renting it for a week. Every time you turned around something else was there to use . A deck on the front porch deck on the back porch that included the smoker and barbecue. We would recommend it highly to anyone and can’t wait to go back! Thank you very much! The Newtons

Great long weekend for Thanksgiving

We spent a great weekend for Thanksgiving- 4 adults, 4 kids and a dog. There was enough space for everyone to sleep, play and relax. Very clean. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and not a ton to do. We enjoyed a stroll to the local store (very interesting) and coffee place. A short drive to lake Wenatchee (a great place to visit!) and not too far from Leavenworth.
