Traditional guest house. Rather shabby. En-suite shower room was minuscule. Landlady helpful with advice for day trips.

Friendly and helpful, very accommodating for early arrivals. Great location, 2 minute walk to airport bus stop. 5 minutes to Commercial Street.

Charming with wonderful hosts!
Posted Jun. 20, 2023 on HotelsDelightful and economical B&B. Hosts were wonderful, and went the extra mile. Breakfast was tasty w some home cooked items & some self serve. Bed was comfortable and location walkable to restaurants and town center. Note no elevator but host carried my bags up & down. Some rooms en suite, some w shared bathroom. I would stay again!

Lovely grand room in a traditional guest house. Fantastic hosts. Highly recommend. We had a fantastic stay. Breakfast was excellent.

Very warm welcome. Easy check in. Great location. Very nice breakfast. Great atmosphere and easily walkable into the shopping area.

Good location. Walking distance to town a plus.
We arrived early so our room was not ready. Was given a great recommendation for breakfast which turned out to be really good. When we arrived back at our designated arrival time, our room was still not fully cleaned. We waited in the entrance until the cleaning was done and then hauled our bags up the 39 stairs to our room on the top floor.
The room was clean enough if a bit tired looking.
Linen coverings on the windows provided no darkness once the sun came up, and the bathroom sink was so small and had a shelf installed directly above, making brushing your teeth, and rinsing impossible.
The last night my husband and I were there someone came in very late, around 2am, very loudly banging doors and then banging on our door to get in. Probably mistaking it for the toilet next door.
Will not be returning.

Excellent family-run guesthouse with very friendly staff .I really liked my small but homely single-room - very close to the toilet and bathroom- and the staff were very helpful offering information on the various tours available .I had a very filling daily vegetarian breakfast .The guest house is located close to bus routes though a walk into central Lerwick only took 10-15 minutes. I highly- recommend this property.

Posted Jul. 26, 2022 on HotelsA very warm welcome awaits you. The staff were very helpful and went that extra mile in helping out. The breakfasts are good and plentiful.
The single en-suite room I had was very small but comfortable. The shared facilities single room was larger and airier.
Whilst the overall impression is of cleanliness, the shared bathroom floor wasn’t swept or cleaned until I mentioned it, the mug, glass and spoon in my first room had tea drips on them and there were crumbs underneath the desk in my room in the second room. The bedding and towels were however, lovely and clean.
There is ample on-road free parking around the B&B and it’s a short walk up and over the hill into town.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is convenient for the knob walk, clickman broch, downtown and the main museum. Assuming of course you are good with walking, which applies to much of Shetland.
