Alfama Studio @ Lisbon's Historical Heart

Welcome to our studio in the heart of Alfama, Lisbon's most traditional neighborhood. Perfect for couples or solo travelers, this cozy space includes a comfortable double bed, a small bathroom with traditional Portuguese architecture, and a fully equipped kitchen for your convenience. With its typical Alfama character and lively atmosphere, it's an ideal spot to immerse yourself in the authentic Lisbon experience!

NOTE: Repair works in the building.

The studio is located in a busy tourist area, so exterior noise is to be expected. The annual Santos Populares festivals take place here during the month of June. Please be aware that during this period, the activity and noise levels are intensified.

￫ Building
A compact studio (40 square meters) on the 1st floor of a building with no elevator (access is made by steep stairs) and has the truly amazing feel of Alfama. It is an old building and, as such, has characteristics typical of its age, such as poor soundproofing.
The studio is perfect for couples or solo travelers seeking to stay in Lisbon's most traditional neighborhood.

Presence of dampness due to construction work in the adjacent building. Please ventilate the studio as much as possible during your stay.

￫ Bed
The apartment is a studio with a Double bed.

￫ Bathroom
Small bathroom with a shower. The bathroom has traditional Portuguese architecture, so the ceilings are low and it is not recommended for tall individuals or those with limited mobility: 1,82m at the entrace and 2,23m in the shower. Please note that it is an interior bathroom without windows, so we recommend keeping the door open whenever possible and airing out the studio frequently to prevent the accumulation of humidity and resulting odors from the showers.

￫ Living Room
The living room has a sofa bed prepared to receive 2 more guests and a dining table. Please note that there is no TV.

￫ Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, washing machine, iron, toaster, kettle and coffee maker (coffee not included).

￫ The property is Self-Catered. Complimentary basic items are provided for your arrival, including first-day toiletries, toilet paper, etc. These items are offered on a welcome basis only - replacements or re-fills are not provided.
￫ Bed and bath linen are provided according to the number of guests confirmed in the reservation. For stays longer than 7 nights, additional bed and bath linen will be provided for free at the check-in.
￫ The Cleaning Fee included in your reservation covers the check-out cleaning only. Extra cleanings or fresh linens can be requested during your stay and are subject to an extra fee - these requests must be done with at least 24 hours in advance.
￫ Check-in time starts at 14:00. Only one set of keys will be provided.
￫ We are obligated by Portuguese law to collect our guest's Passport information.
￫ Check-out must be done until 11am. Before leaving, please place the keys inside the lockbox.
￫ During the stay, the guest is responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of the property's keys. Please avoid leaving them in the lock or mailbox. In the event that a specialized technician is needed for door opening or in case of damage to the key and/or lock, the costs associated with this service will be the responsibility of the guest. In case of key loss, a penalty will be applied.
￫ The property is equipped with noise decibel monitoring sensors. This system performs advanced analysis while ensuring the privacy of our guests, as no cameras are used, and no sound is recorded. Only noise levels are measured, thus guaranteeing the tranquility and comfort of everyone during their stay.
￫ Crib and baby chair are available upon request and subject to an extra fee.
￫ For stays equal to or longer than 28 days, monthly consumptions exceeding €150 will be charged separately. By making the reservation, the guest agrees to these terms.
￫ Construction work to be carried out in the adjacent building, with no scheduled end date.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT.:

- Please confirm your check-in time as soon as possible so we can arrange everything specially for you.
- Flexible check-in and check-out are available upon request, but only if the property is available. These requests must be done in advance.
- Late Check-In Fee.: 25€ after 22h00.
- Late Check-Out Fee.: Possible if the property is available, but it’s subject to a payment of a 25€ fee.
- Early Check-In Fee.: Possible if the property is available, but it’s subject to a payment of a 25€ fee.


CLEANING and LAUNDRY.:

- Bedding Sets and Towels are provided according with the number of guests.
- The Cleaning Fee covers the check-in/check-out cleaning only.
- For longer stays it's possible to arrange extra cleanings (with an additional cost).
- For stays longer than 7 nights, extra linen will be provided.
- The apartment is always cleaned by a professional cleaning service. If there's something that doesn't meet your standards, please contact us.


OTHER RULES.:

- Make sure you are up-to-date on travel restrictions/requirements. We may ask for additional documentation according to government guidelines.
- Children’s High Chair and Baby Crib available by request (extra cost of 25€).
- The silent period in Portugal is between 22h00 and 08h00, and night rest period must be respected. The apartment is in a residential area and you should be aware that social events and other activities that might disturb the neighbors are prohibited.

- Lisbon is a historic city in continuous modernization, which may result in renovation works in the vicinity of the building without prior notice. We would also like to remind you that the property is located in a residential building, where conservation or renovation works may occur during your stay.
