Da Silva Surfcamp Red Suite for 7 People

Summary:

The Da Silva Surf Camp is a traditional Portuguese country house in a peaceful location with stunning views over the countryside and out to the sea. Twice a day, a shepherd passes by with his flock of sheep, you wake up to the crowing of a rooster in the morning, and otherwise, all you hear is the chirping of birds. The beach is a 20-minute walk away, or just 10 minutes if you use one of the beach cruisers available to borrow free of charge.



The Space:

Our 7 bed suite is in a separate building just around the corner from the kitchen and diagonally across from our bar. The room has 3 bunk beds and above the bathroom with shower there is a loft bed (gallery) with another single mattress ideal for People who are over 2 meters tall because the foot end is open. The room is ideal for large families or larger groups of friends and offers a small kitchenette with fridge. Outside, next to the front door, you can take a wonderful warm shower outdoors and enjoy the view over the wide landscape.



Guest Access:

The Da Silva Surf Camp is perfect for those looking to unwind and escape the stress of city life. It’s an ideal spot for families with children.



The house is surrounded by rustic nature, offering lovely walks along the field paths. Across the valley lies the traditional farming village of “Zambujeira.” Apart from a small café and a mini-grocery store, there’s not much else there, but it’s still worth a visit for its authentic charm. Once a year, sometime in August, the village hosts a big festival where even the great-grandmothers dress up for the occasion.



If you want to go out in the evenings, you’ll need to head to Praia da Areia Branca or Peniche. But don’t worry - we’ll take you there with our shuttle bus. So there’s no need to worry about getting bored - you definitely won’t!



The Neighborhood:

Close to Casal da Murta lies Praia da Areia Branca, a popular seaside resort for Portuguese locals. Fortunately, there are very few hotels or large holiday complexes here, but in August, the beach gets lively as many locals from the surrounding area come to swim.



A lifeguard ensures safety on the main beach, and hundreds of the typical beach tents can be rented for a small fee. Some sections of the beach are supervised by professional lifeguards during the summer. For those seeking peace and quiet, just walk a cove or two along the shore, and you’ll find a secluded spot all to yourself.



Praia da Areia Branca features a charming beach promenade with many small cafés and excellent restaurants. It’s particularly suited for families with teenage children, as it offers a friendly and manageable nightlife scene, making it easy to connect with the locals.



The express bus between Peniche and Lisbon stops almost every hour in this town. The nearby town of Lourinhã, just 3 km away, offers large supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, a health center, pharmacies, a post office, and a bank.



Praia da Areia Branca is located just 15 km south of the port city of Peniche, home to some of Europe’s best surfing beaches. Surfers from around the globe ride the waves of legendary spots like Supertubos or Lagido. Our shuttle bus takes you to the best waves and most beautiful beaches in the area. Some nearby coves are considered secret spots, and their exact locations are closely guarded by local surfers.



Getting Around:

The surf camp is located 65 km north of Lisbon, and getting here from Lisbon Airport is incredibly easy! You can take a taxi, Uber, or the metro to the bus station, where an express bus will bring you directly to our town. We’re happy to pick you up from the bus stop and bring you straight to the surf camp.



Alternatively, we can pick you up from Lisbon Airport or drop you off there at any time. This option is particularly convenient if your flight is outside the express bus operating hours. Prices are available upon request.



We also offer a daily shuttle to the nearest supermarket and, of course, to the beach. Additionally, bicycles are available for free rental, making it easy to get around without your own car.

If you like, you can learn to surf with us quickly and safely from local surfers while gaining an in-depth appreciation of Portuguese lifestyle and culture. Surfing is an exciting interaction with the forces of nature and is entirely in harmony with it. We aim to share the "Spirit of Surfing," which represents harmony among surfers, respect for nature, the ocean, and the culture of the country.



In addition, we offer other activities such as: Yoga classes, Mountainbiking tours, Day trips. A special highlight is the newly opened Dinoparque Lourinhã, the largest outdoor museum, located nearby.
