Great hotel in the middle of the city, very accessible via the tube and buses. The hotel was doing some renovations in the lobby, but they kept the site neat and safe. the only downfall was the bar and bar staff, they have no idea on what Customer Service is or needs to be, waited at the bar for almost 20 minutes while other customers were being serve by the staff.

Great location, very walkable with lots of eating and shopping options for all likings. Easy access to all modes of public transportation. Good breakfast. Staff is great and supportive most part with few exceptions. Property overall needs lot of TLC given what they charge per night. Rooms are in deteriorating condition and so are washrooms.

I was not impressed by the reception. The escalator was not working. And there are steep stairs to get to the actual reception desk. The elevator on the side was so slow that we were taken up in the service elevator. The reception area was chaotic and unkempt. The reception staff was friendly. But overall the room and hotel itself seemed dingy and unimpressive despite the excellent location.

The location is highly desirable, and the rooms are clean with updated bathrooms and coffee options. However, there was construction in the lobby, long lines at desk, awkward halls to walk that go on forever where one might get lost in a service area. But the biggest negative is that there is NO FUNCTIONING CONCIERGE. The desk always refers you to the "concierge" down a set of stairs/escalator; but the "concierge" consists of 2 men standing in a small corner - who are not as versed in London as the position usually requires - and are unable to provide information or even take a postcard to mail.

The hotel is comfortable and well-located, offering a fantastic setting. However, upon arrival around 4 PM, the check-in process was somewhat unclear, as there was no visible staff to provide guidance. Additionally, the hotel was undergoing construction during my stay. Departure was similarly confusing, as there were no staff members present in the designated corridor to direct guests to the appropriate elevators. The hospitality at check-in could also be improved. On the second night, a persistent vibrating noise disrupted our room until 3 AM. When we reported the issue to the front desk, the manager was unable to assist, as he was uncertain of the source. He even asked if we could locate it ourselves. Fortunately, the noise eventually stopped, though it appeared to be coming from the plumbing pipes.
