I’ve stayed here several times while visiting my son. In general it is excellent, but a couple of comments 1. I was woken on my first day there (Saturday) by the strikers outside which I suppose couldn’t be helped. 2. the room was excellent except that I wish there was a light behind the chair for reading and the bottom electrical socket by the bed did not work. in these days of rechargeable everything that’s kind of a big deal. Nevertheless I will clearly stay here when I am in Santa Monica

I've stayed at Le Meridien for years over the past 20 years and always had an enjoyable stay, which is why I selected it. Unfortunately, i realized that the heyday of this property has passed. The lobby is beautiful but the rooms and amenities within leave something to be desired. It's just old. The hinge on the bathroom door fell off, the towels were thin and dingy and there were layers of paint that appeared to be on their 4th or 5th coat. The beds were incredibly comfortable though! I also thought the $52 valet fee was absolutely ridiculous! The proximity to ocean and shopping is superb.

Always a home from home stay
Posted Jan. 21, 2024 on HotelsStay here very regularly - rooms are very comfortable and clean and staff are awesome, very friendly and professional. They remember you and are just the best! Food is good, gym is great. Nice pool area. Great location and not quite as expensive as hotels a few blocks down and closer to the beach!
