The space
With its 8 spacious bedrooms, Villa Baloccaia comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests, with 4 en suites making it an ideal choice for families or groups seeking a memorable getaway. Each room is elegantly appointed, boasting stunning views of the surrounding countryside. 5 double bedrooms, 4 en suite and 2 bedrooms with large single beds each with dedicated bathrooms. 1 double bedroom and 1 bedroom with the 2 large single beds has direct access to the large private terrace.All windows on the property have mosquito screens.

The villa is set in its own grounds of about 11 acres and it’s completely private whilst still being near the mail road that goes from Lucca to Camaiore , so getting around is super easy by car .Within 5 mins by car you have several restaurants, bars , bank , post office ,pharmacy and a supermarket and the beaches of Viareggio are only about 20 mins away

The cities of LUCCA (distance 13KM about 15minutes by car), PISA airport (distance 40km about 35 minutes by car), FLORENCE airport (distance 84km about 1 hour 10 minutes by car) are within easy reach.
Also by car you can reach PIETRASANTA (distance 21 km, about 30 minutes by car)

Carlo was a most amazing and generous host who could not do enough for us. The villa itself is magnificent, set in the most amazing grounds with splendid views from the terrace. The vi;;a was spotless and the facilities are second to none.We stayed there as a large family group and had smiles on our faces from the moment we arrived until the moment we left.

We booked this property to celebrate 2 friends’ milestone birthdays. From the moment we booked until check out the experience was 5-star! The perfectly equipped kitchen was a boon, especially when we wanted 2 nights with a personal chef! The communication with the host Carlo was fantastic and even when we made lots of requests and changes, he was very helpful and accommodating. The photos don’t do the property justice, it is pristine, beautifully styled, cozy with comfortable beds, bathrooms everywhere and the views are stunning! Whether rain or shine it is an amazing retreat from busy Italy but close enough for historic tours, beachside jaunts, the best shopping and great wine tastings. I would recommend this property to anyone that would respect an amazingly designed and well kept property and who wants to enjoy the delights of Tuscany. Thanks again to Carlo for all the great local recommendations and suggestions, especially the local restaurant that had the best food in the region!

I cannot fault Villa Baloccaia. It was perfect for two families totalling 4 adults, 5 kids and a grand parent! We booked it as a treat for my 40th birthday and our host Carlo made us feel very welcome and looked after. This included thoughtful little extras like arranging birthday cakes and helping us book restaurants. He also arranged a private chef for the last night who produced an amazing 4 course birthday meal (big thank you to Morena).The villa was very clean and well presented and had lots of different spaces (great when you have 5 kids to hide from). The pool was heated and well cared for as were the grounds. We loved all the herbs (and chillies!) in the garden as well as the BBQ area and pizza oven. If you are a cook you'll also appreciate the large and well equipped kitchen. The location is spectacular surrounded by mountains, hills and forests. We'd love to come back. Thanks again for looking after us Carlo.

We would give this 10/5 if we could. The photos just don’t do this incredible oasis justice. We came intending to do several day trips but found it hard to leave the villa - hanging out on one of the several outside terraces admiring the sweeping views, or by the pool - was so magical. We were 8 discerning women celebrating a big birthday. Everyone was in love with this place. Everything was on point - a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds with elegant linens, fluffy towels and robes, lots of living space. The pool area is spectacular and we spent many hours there. Carlo was an incredible host, organizing a chef (shout out to the incredible Morena!) and yoga instructor (Wioletta) for us. He was always available for helpful tips, navigating the area and getting taxis into town. Carlo was such a responsive host and he put his personal touch on the home. There’s one (very) small grocery store you can walk to - Paulo makes his own sausages and it’s an experience not to be missed. Otherwise you do need a car to get to Lucca (25 mins drive) or other towns. We had no problem with taxis. (Mario was a regular and delightful chauffeur !). We’re already plotting our return.
