Location: There is lots to do in this location as it is near by one of the main spots that people go by. They were theaters restaurants stores shops and cafés.
This is definitely a great place to stay if you are on a budget. The room that I stayed in was terrific. The owner comes and cleans the room every day. She even did my laundry. However, it must be a small amount of laundry. I was very pleased and I will be staying here again the next time I am back in Madrid. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

Posted Jan. 15, 2016 on HotelsI booked a room here while looking for a flat for an upcoming semester at university. Hostal del Pez Azul far exceeded my expectations. First off, it is not a traditional hostel, but more similar to a room you would find in a hotel, private bathroom included. The room was actually bigger than the previous hotel I stayed at. The owner was also extremely friendly. Overall, great value for the money.

Sharing house, not a hotel.
Posted Jul. 6, 2015 on HotelsThe hotel is much smaller than expected but this could be typical for lower class Spanish hotel. It should be categorized as B&B without breakfast than a hotel. Anyway, though with limited communication capability, the owner was trying her best. I believe she also try her best in renovating the room condition.

Wir waren die letzten Gäste bevor auch in Madrid alles wegen Corona geschlossen wurde. Ohne die Familie die sich dort um alles kümmern wären wir aufgeschmissen gewesen. Man hat uns sogar die private Küche zum Pizza machen angeboten, da vor Ort schon alles sgeschlossen war ausser der Supermarkt. Ganz tolle Familie. Wir kommen wieder.
