This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo in Mammoth Lakes is located across the street from The Village and on the bike park trails. Enjoy all the amenities The Village has to offer without all the hustle and bustle. This end unit condo features vaulted ceilings in the living room with lots of natural light flooding in, a large flat screen TV with cable, Wi-Fi access and DVD player. The living room offers a beautiful leather sectional so you can all gather around the gas fireplace with custom stone work. The dining area offers seating for 6 with a private deck featuring a BBQ grill and outdoor furniture, the perfect spot for al fresco dining! The fully stocked kitchen including a crock pot offers everything needed to prepare family meals. For the coffee enthusiast, a large pot coffee maker, Keurig (pods not included) as well as French Press and coffee grinder. The primary suite is on the upper level and features a California King bed, flatscreen TV and full bath with tub/shower combo. The second bedroom is on the main floor and features bunk beds with a Twin over Full, plus Twin trundle (for a total of 4), flatscreen TV and access to the shared hall full bath with tub/shower combo. The unit also offers a boot and glove dryer in the entrance and mud area so you can dry out your gear for the next day of skiing or adventuring and an outside guest ski locker for your use to conveniently store your equipment right next to the front door. The Val D'Isere complex offers a superb location with an outdoor pool (summer only), year-round hot tub, sauna, laundry facilities and BBQ on the premises and a ski-back trail. Val D'Isere enjoys easy access to the Blue Line Shuttle in the winter and biking trails in the summer. It is only a short walk to shopping, dining and the gondola at The Village. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, Pilates and cycle studio and more. Maximum Occupancy: 6. No Smoking, No Vaping, and No pets. Guests will be provided two parking passes. If more parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our office for alternative options. Our calendar is updated in real time. PLEASE NOTE: The complex community amenities are currently under construction and unavailable for access, with no estimated time of re-opening. This includes the pool, hot tub, common area laundry facilities and recreation room. During summer months there will be active construction activity in this area, which may cause some noise disruption and vehicle activity. We apologize for any inconvenience. Spacious living room area and super close to the villlage

Great location & super clean

Val D’Isere is in a great location - an easy walk to the Village. This unit seemed recently redecorated with new carpet, furniture, comfortable beds and tasteful decor. It was the cleanest condo we’ve ever rented. The upstairs bedroom did get a bit warm on our July visit, but luckily the unit has fans.

The other major downside is that it has been 2 years since the pool and hottube were available; this is the reason for the loss of a star overall. This is a good unit only a few steps from parking. Having stayed many years in VDI, this is the the best unit.

Great location

The location for this condo is great! Walking distance to the Village and in a quiet location. If you are sensitive to heat then I would suggest staying out of the condo during the day into the evening when it gets cooler because this place gets very warm even with the windows open. It would be nice if the condo was a little more updated but the overall experience of the place was great. I would recommend staying here if you want to be close to the village.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have never been to mammoth before but wanted a cozy summer place to stay while visiting and hiking inyo and bishop. Perfect geographical location for mammoth-can walk to the village in 2 minutes. The cabin/ townhouse is great, very comfortable and had all necessary kitchen items to cook! Used the grill too, it was amazing. My only gripe is the king bed in the master bedroom. It is very very used. Luckily the couch is comfy so a lot of napping there.

Great location and clean

The condo was great and super clean and seemed like it was in between some lovely renovations. The upstairs bedroom is no longer a loft, but an enclosed room with new floors, new doors and new vanities in both bathrooms. The location is perfect. You can easily walk to the village to grab a bite or shop. The only complaint is that the unit didn't have a washer and dryer available even though it said it did in the description. I called the property manager to ask where the laundry was located, left a message and never got a return phone call. My son ended up finding a "closed due to Covid" sign on a laundry room by the pool. All in all, we would definitely come back to stay.

It is sad because I don't imagine there is anything the owners' can do about it. In the early evening and throughout the night, the unit starts to crack and pop with the change in temperature. Not just a little. The noise is loud and disturbing. It woke me up several times each night (at least). I was a little shocked how loud it actually was. I have owned houses that have done this but never this loud. Maybe it does not do this all year long. I just don't like to have loud noises wake me up at night so I thought I would post.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would say the unit is a little dumpy. This place needs a facelift really bad. The carpet is absolutely hammered and the owners attempt to paint resulted in paint splashed onto the bare wood trim throughout the condo. The master bathroom toilet is about half the size of a normal toilet and the vanity is about 4 inches lower than a normal one, so you really have to bend over to use the sink. And if you rent it in the summer, bring a fan or two- no AC in this condo. Besides all of that, the location is great and it was dog friendly, so I kind of understand the lack of new flooring. Oh yeah, the BBQ doesn’t work.

Overall nice place, but just some things...

To start off the place was pretty clean and organized. Nice for not being a remodeled unit. So i give them that. It works just fine. A couple of things that we noticed tho while staying there. 1. The tv was terrible to figure out how to remote. There was no ryhme or reason to trying to get the guide to pop up. No directions on how to use the remote, nothing. We had to hit 47 buttons to get anything to work. 2. The house had an odor to it which was making me sick while inside. Once outside in the fresh air i was fine, when i would walk into the house, i don’t know what the cause was, but instantly i would become ill. And it was like that for the whole trip. I don’t know if it’s from all the old stuff, mold (which i didn’t see any), or maybe the water heater that was in my room. Other than those two things it was great for the price. If those things were fixed, it would be a solid place at a great price.

Skiing from the Village

Location is awesome!!! Short walk to the village and gondola!!! The place is warm and cozy to hang out after a day on the slopes. Looking forward to staying here in future.

Our family has rented numerous properties over the years and although we liked the floorplan of this condo and the location, we were less than impressed with it. The fact that the kitchen wasn't updated was not a big deal but the organization of the kitchen was clearly done by someone who doesn't cook or bake. Here is a list of things that were terrible: 1) Prior reviews reported a well stocked kitchen. We did not find this to be true. Salt/pepper, paper towels, two hand towels, and a small bottle of olive oil. They had over 20 knives but none of them were sharp and I worried I was going to cut myself every time I sliced an apple. There were no measuring cups and most of the cooking utensils were cheap plasticware that was likely free from takeout. 2) Doorknob to bunk room kept falling off. 3) There are no frills with the bedding. There was one pillow per bed only. There were two very thin extra blankets and the blankets on the beds were not inviting. There were no pillows on the couch or chairs. 4) A couple nightlights would be nice (not the ridiculous light on the stairs). The bunk room gets pretty dark but the only way to get it some light is to leave the door open and the hall light on. Funny enough, the closets in the bunk room have enough light to light a whole city block. So weird. 5) The dining room table has a tablecloth on it so if you have messy kids, it is filthy the first time they use it and then for the rest of the stay. 6) The internet didn't work when we arrived Friday and after a thorough troubleshooting, we called the emergency line. They said they would come the next day. They said 9am but never showed. We had asked a neighbor for their wireless so we used that instead and reached out again to the agency and told them we didn't need them to come anymore. Then, of course, they arrived in the middle of naptime and woke up my sleeping toddler. 7) The garbage disposal did not work. Even though we didn't put food down it (luckily), every time that we would run the dishwasher the sink would fill with water and small bits of food and the countertop would flood. We were able to stop it by plunging the sink. 8) Master bedroom has no window coverings so it is bright by 6am. This wasn't terrible for us but could be for some. I'm sure some of these gripes sound petty but as someone who has stayed at many properties in the Mammoth area, I would never rent this unit again and would be hesitant to rent from the rental agency again.

Great location, well stocked

Overall the stay was great. The set up of the until made it very comfortable, lots of space for the 5 of us to be together or get some space. The kitchen is very small but well stocked with just about everything we needed to cook our own meals. The kitchen was very old as were some other places in the house but despite being old it was VERY clean. Location can’t be beat. All around a great time, would definitely rent this unit again.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was perfect. Less than 5 min walk into the village and on the edge of town for easy access toward Canyon or Main Lodges. King bed upstairs was mega comfortable, the bunk beds so-so. Fairly well stocked kitchen but old. Good enough for three days. Ski locker was useful and plenty of room in the entryway to store gear. Overall great trip.
