Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.
Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

Tenaya is a great option if you’re visiting Yosemite. The facilities are incredibly well kept and it may have been the nicest “hotel room” I’ve ever stayed in. There are lots of activities for kids if you want to take a day off from the park and plenty of places to eat. You can also be in nearby towns for more restaurants in about 45 minutes.

Good experience. Only complaint was the indoor pool water was too cold, housekeeping didn’t clean up nor made the beds one of the nights. They didn’t refill the keurig pods and coffee cups. All they did was take used towels & bring new towels . Overall everything else was great. Restaurants were good!

Great location, only a few minutes from Yosemite National Park's south entrance. The hotel is family friendly offering amenities such as pools, archery, and s'mores in the evenings. We will definitely be back!

The resort is beautiful. It is very clean and most staff is very friendly. They have a beautiful/clean fitness center. They also have free washers and dryers. It was so nice to be able to wash all clothes before packing it. They also offer a free s'mores bar and free taffy for all guest. Parking is free for guest which is a huge bonus. Since it's still the off season, the outdoor pool was closed but the indoor pool and hot tubs were great! The kids really enjoyed the game room also. It is so nice that it is so close to the south entrance of Yosemite National Park. The only reason why I am not giving a 5 star review is because of that awful restaurant they have there. Jackalope's is the only restaurant inside and it is very disappointing. The appetizers are good but the dinner options are extremely overpriced for what they are. They are either bland, terribly over cooked, or flat out raw. The first 2 nights were so bad we cancelled our reservations for the rest of the stay and opted for the 25 minute drive to town instead to eat dinner.

Very upscale. Far more services and customer service than most hotels. Restaurant, deli, coffee shop, great live guitar player in lobby and concierge services were fantastic! The only complaint was loud children constantly running down halls and through the large lobby seating area. Not sure what the hotel could have done about that though.
