Great hotel, great staff, hotel is located right in the center of Mammoth so makes it easy to walk to restaurants/ bars and stores. You can actually walk down the hotel and rent bikes. Easy access to trolley to get a ride to the upper lakes.

Problems

Garage was extremely dirty and thus dust was tracked into the lobby and room. Internet was out for most of stay. Some staff said this due to internet being out all over Mammoth, but that was not true as we could go to Starbucks and get connected with no problem. This is a decline in quality since prior stays at this facility.

The front desk clerk could not start the Roku TV system. I a request a partial refund of the room rental rate. Also, we had to change rooms due to clogged toilet that could not be cleared--no maintenance person on duty--the plunger was not the heavy duty model.

The fire alarm battery chirped all night long. It was too high to easily reach so we called the front desk who said unfortunately the maintenance crew had left and there was nothing they could do. After being up all night and contacting the front desk multiple times the next day, the front desk person finally climbed on chairs and tables to pull the battery. When checking out, we asked to be compensated for our terrible stay and were told since we booked through expedia there was nothing they could do. We also called the manager multiple times over the next few days and after saying he would look into it and wanted to help, he never returned our calls again.

Location is near restaurants, complementary breakfast is pretty good. Property is a little outdated but very clean. We always stay here when visiting Mammoth.

The beds were clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was good and filling. The staff were friendly but our TV didn't work and they couldn't fix it so we had to change our room into another room right after we had moved everything into our room. Then our key cards didn't work to get into our room, so we had to have a staff member to let us back into our room and then had to wait for awhile before it was fixed. So we didn't leave our room until we had new card keys. It happens, hopefully they'll get these problems fixed very soon and they renovate the rooms in the near future.
