To begin with there is no assistance outside of business hours because (as is expected for mammoth) the condo is run by a service. Therefore they should supply excellent instructions for appliances and things like heating and how to use the fire place. No lighter was supplied for the fireplace. I expect (based on dozens of other stays in mammoth) to be told to bring your own supplies for the fireplace or for it all to be provided. When we arrived at 6:30pm it was 55 in the condo and there were multiple possible heaters/thermostats. Took forever to figure out which ones worked and how to use them. On top of that we couldn't start a fire. Then the opposite happened. It was too hot in the night and we were trying to reset all the thermostats at 3am to lower temperatures. A simple sign on the wall indicating which thermostats to use would have saved a lot of grief. Plus a warning that the heater while it takes a very long time to work after being set to 55 is very powerful and should be turned down to below 60 at bedtime.
