Renovated Adobe One Block From Marfa Courthouse Across From The Hotel Paisano
"The house was listed as pet friendly and that certainly seemed to be the case... My Cats had a lot of fun running around the circuit of the house along the hallway from front to back and around through the 2 bedrooms and bathroom down the hallway where the laundry was set up and on a lather, rinse repeat... of course they did this at 3-5 am... and slept all day... The home is a bit older and the wood floor squeaks in places... but it was comfortable and well appointed. We didn't find the drip coffee maker right away and ended up purchasing one at a Thrift store that we used while there. Found out an old friend is taking classes at Sul Ross over in Alpine and ended up giving the coffee maker to him. Shops are within' Easy walking distance make sure to check hours... Wont lie, Marfa is expensive. There is lots to do an see in the area. The McDonald Observatory, Marfa Lights, Check out the Hotel Paisano. Some scenes from Giant shot there. Our cats also loved the enclosed courtyard to the side of the property and explored all over it. Surprisingly we didn't have to pick Prickly pear spines out of any paws or noses... Internet was spotty... but we were mainly checking mail so not so much of a problem. Bring ear plugs for sleeping. Trains pass through and blow at all the intersections and the tracks are only a couple blocks away. Beds comfy and the weighted blankets were marvelous for making you feel you were being hugged."
