I don’t understand how this place can be part of a Marriot. Is in terrible conditions and really nasty!

Kimberly at the front desk was excellent.
Room was roomy and okay.
However, kitchen sink backed up the entire time, shower could not be adjusted ie it shot water to the back of the bath and could not be adjusted otherwise, the AC/Heater malfunctioned and the reception area could do with a little modernisation.

Don't pay attention to the Google reviews, this hotel is just fine for a short stay. It isn't luxurious, but its solid and for the Miami area it's a great value. For the relative price in this area you could do a lot worse.

Room has bad smell and breakfast counter finish very quickly.

The stay was excellent. Two slight negatives: 1. The carpets in the hallways smell bad. 2. The breakfast hall is very small for the capacity.
