I expect more from a highly rated hotel. I’m shocked by how unprofessional the receptionists were.
They weren’t attentive and accommodating to me as a guest. When I stay in hotels especially ones that I pay an exorbitant amount for, I expect accommodation, politeness, professionalism and privacy at the very least, all of which they lacked. On multiple occasions my personal information like my ID, credit card and room number were not handled with care and displayed for various guests and staff members to see. As a traveler this is severely distressing. They put me in a precarious situation by doing this, which is one of the reasons why I decided to switch rooms during my second night at the hotel. The other reason was the noisiness, even late into the evening. I heard everything from stomping, banging to drilling. This is unacceptable.
The quality of the room I stayed in during the second night was disappointing. It was much smaller than the first even though I paid practically the same amount. Also it was not clean.The bedroom table had what I believe to be food residue.The couch had unknown particles on it. I had to locate a cleaner who wiped off the table but used the same towel to clean the washroom surfaces and other areas.
I had to wipe these surfaces again. I noticed four small holes in the walls under the Tv, it’s possible I may have been watched.
Also loud construction is taking place at the hotel entrance, a workers carelessness caused me to inhale dust.
