The hotel looks chic in the pictures but in fact is a little rundown. No coffee maker or shampoo, tiny towels, paper cups, no pictures on the wall. It turned out to be a great choice for a budget concious solo traveler staying a week, however. There was a microwave and a mini-fridge, so I bought what I needed and, although the airconditioning unit was loud, I could set it to what I wanted. I appreciated the sitting area and the location was perfect for walking or taking the metro.

Had urine stain on wall next to the toilet. Had a cockroaches and bed bugs. Was moved to another room that I was told had a long term renter that may or may not show up. Had to book another hotel was never redunded and was treated like trash from management when diacussing the issue.

The hotel is in a good location. It's about a 10-minute walk to Place Jacques-Cartier and Complexe Desjardins. On the first night, my room wasn’t ready. The bathroom leaked with lots of water in bedroom after I took a shower, and the desk only had three legs. After I told the staff about the problems, they moved me to a normal room for the rest of 2 nights.

Saw the Google reviews the day before my stay and was pretty nervous but overall the hotel is fine. Staff were nice and helpful. The woman at the front desk recommended a place to park that was less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel AND cheaper than it would’ve been to park at the hotel. Rooms were fine and clean. Beds a tad uncomfy but the sheets were clean (mattress protector not so much but there was a clean sheet between myself in the protector so I didn’t really care). Location was great, quick walk to Old Town and close to the metro station for anywhere else you want to go. Lots of just minor visual damages (peeling wall paper, scuffs etc.) but for a cheap hotel in a good location it’s to be expected and doesn’t bother me. Thankfully despite the scary reviews elsewhere it was a good stay (other then the maybe presence of bed bugs but like I can’t confirm that’s actually an issue so maybe proceed with caution?).

The Good - The shower had fantastic heat and pressure - Staff was pleasant and helpful - The room was comfortable - The location was great The Not Great - The restaurant was closed for renovations - The room could use a deep clean we spilled something on the floor and we cleaned it up there was a lot of grime. - No coffee or tea syation in the room -Be aware of what roads you are walking down some streets are pretty sketchy
