I wish I could give them less than one star. The property is terrible. The bedsheets smell and had stains and the fridge was warm and didn’t work. Does not worth what we paid for.

had a great 3 nights at Hotel Chrome in montreal

My room was in good shape except for the curtains which woudent close to block out morinng light, room was super clean, tv good, beds compfortable, staff friednly/good location close to a university, and st catherines, street and the music scene, price was great, no breakfeast but there are many restaurants close by or pack a lunch breakfeast

Check in was 1600, which is very inconvenient, & a bit of a rip off, in my opinion. There was even a charge to store our luggage until check in. The restaurant on the facility has been closed forever. The rooms are old, but fairly clean. I even had trouble getting additional coffee for room. We had 2 single servings . It turned out to be terrible anyways. The location of motel is only positive thing. We won’t be returning.

The property just seems like they have low standards. Could be cleaner. Mattress felt cheap and extremely hard. Seemed understaffed because we could not get the help that anyone would need if you have a slow draining sink and toilet like we did. It's hard to explain but as you look around you notice how many things need maintenance and that's a sign of the property's management and lack of upkeep. Parking is extremely limited but that's not their fault so we had to find parking elsewhere. I've stayed at many low budget motels that are better maintained.

Nice but strange.

Arrived at 3 pm but wouldn’t let us check in until 3:30. And then charged us $4 to put bags behind counter while we walked around waiting until check in time. Strange I thought. Room was clean, no amenities like shampoo, etc. just soap. Towels very thin. Our room faced construction site next door merely 10 feet away.

The hotel is a bit old and seems like we had a room that didn't get much love after all these years. There was a missing towel pole in the bathroom. One door of the bedroom dresser was cracked and couldn't completly closed. And i scratched my pants

We were treated nicely by the staff at reception. There are two things that need to be addressed. 1) Air conditioner needs to be fixed in room 213. I woke up few times during the night due to suffocation. 2) Speaking of housekeeping staff, one of the staff members knocked off on the door 90 minutes prior to check out time only to remind us that room needs to be cleaned off and the staff appeared to be almost ready with the cleaning cart. Not a good gesture at all. Hotel is located in the downtown core. You can easily go around places. Thanks!

Poorly maintained, but convenient all the same

We stayed because the rates everywhere else were extremely inflated due to a busy weekend. Honestly, I don’t think we’ll be back. Even though we have a pretty seamless check-in and check-out and no issues with the staff, the condition of the hotel was pretty abysmal. We were given ripped, heavily used towels and there was make up stains on the curtains. Our room specifically did not have windows that could open so there was a kind of musty smell that they tried to mask with a strong lemon scent. There was significant black mold-looking residue in the bathroom, specifically on the ceiling which was covered in painted corrugated cardboard. There were limited tv channels, I would recommend bringing an HDMI cable and laptop if you want to stream anything. Unfortunately, house keeping is only offered every 3 days so we didn’t have it but we saw her in the hall and she was very polite. On the upside they did offer early and late check ins for 10$ an hour, which was convenient. Overall, not a bad stay for a night or two if there’s nothing else available but I hope for your sake that there is!

I think the only thing going for this hotel is its location. The room is small and old, only one charging spot in the room and it's far away from the bed. The washroom is clean and there are enough clean towels but it only have a 3-in-1 wash. If you need a place to camp for the night. You got it.

The cheapest most disgusting place for almost $100 a night! Not even a coffee or real pot, or ice bucket in the room Old clunky AC , lumpy mattress, toilet flush didn’t work

The toilet in our room wasn’t functioning properly and the soap dispenser provided watered down soap. It was an okay stay for one night in MTL I wouldn’t stay longer though. The location was perfect however, very close to old port and st laurent street.

Close to shopping, transit, restaurant. Not a palace but has comfy beds and is clean. There was some construction around the hotel but Montreal has construction everywhere and we did not find it bothersome. I travel often and would recommend this hotel as a value option.
