The room was not clean. The carpets in the corners and the inch right along the walls were visibly dirty. There was grime with hair in the corners of the tile bathroom floor and orange mildew/mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. My husband who is sensitive to dust stuffed up while in the room. If visible basics were not clean, what else unseen? The room was a decent size with a table, two chairs, a small refrigerator and microwave. However, being visibly unclean turned me off from ever wanting to stay there again.

The room needs a deep cleaning. The shampoo pump in shower did not work so I had to use bath wash for my hair. The air conditioner needs lubricant, very squeaky sounding when it shuts off. There was a heavy set gentleman employee smoking cigarettes close tot he entry door. The front disk is not staffed, so you have a call a phone number to check in.

Our stay was so pleasant that we enjoyed an extra day. The cleanliness of our room and the whole establishment was exceptional. Every person working were kind and helpful. We visited Calaveras Big Trees which we loved but everyone at Murphy’s Motel Inn made our short stay a great one. Thanks Again🙏

The room was very clean everywhere, as usual. Very comfortable stay. Knocked off one star only because the sink drained slowly and the toilet clogged on our last morning. We always stay here when in Murphy’s and will continue. Staff is more like friends to us - very nice people.
