Navarre Beach is a quaint beach community found just east of Pensacola and boasts 12 miles of sugar-white shoreline. Tucked between the Gulf Islands National Seashore and Navarre Beach Marine Park, this beach community offers solitude and simplicity, far from crowded theme parks and packed beaches. You will find solitude and simplicity for sun-seekers, families, outdoor adventurers, nature lovers, and water sports enthusiasts. Navarreâs pristine beaches are named among the best in the nation year after year. Visitors can sun on the beach, swim in emerald waters, enjoy a picnic in the park, or pedal along a scenic bike path.
While youâre here be sure to visit the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center. Guests can learn all about sea turtles including local celebrity Sweet Pea, a rescued green sea turtle, and conservation education. Snorkel and shore divers will enjoy the beautiful Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary and artificial reef, which are ideal for snorkeling and diving for any skill level. Rent a bike, kayak, or paddleboard at Sage Paddle Company, catch your own dinner at Navarre Beach Fish Pier, visit the animals at Gulf Breeze Zoo, or take a scenic drive, just minutes from your cozy vacation home down to Pensacola Beach.
Pensacola is home to the Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron. If youâre lucky, you might catch them practicing on any given day while relaxing on the beach. Pensacola Beach also hosts an air show each July, and there is a show over the Naval Air Station each November. If seeing the Blue Angels isnât enough, venture over to the Pensacola Navy Base for public access to the National Naval Aviation Museum, a Pensacola favorite, offering a rich historical experience for kids and adults alike. Onsite of the base is the Pensacola Lighthouse Museum where you can climb up the winding staircase for breathtaking views or walk down the boardwalk to take pictures on Barrancas Beach. While youâre there, you could also check out Fort Barrancas.
The pool bathrooms were unusable due to cleanliness. There was feces on the women's toilet and the men's restroom smelled like urine. Luckily, we were able to walk back to the condo to go to the bathroom. The condo itself was clean. It only gave us 3 bath towels for the two bathrooms to use after showers. We had to use beach towels to accommodate the 8 of us staying in the condo.
Dishwasher didnât work well. Had an odor. Pealing caulk around toilet in master. Washer didnât always work, had to run twice. Uncomfortable seating inside and out but overall, we made it all work. Note on fridge not to use the pool even though the ad says we can. Confusing. No info on how to work the tvs. The stairs (32) were rough for older folks like ourselves. But overall we liked our stay and the price was right.
Just minimal⊠the toilet in the back runs without cause, the washer and dryer are temperamental, the toilet paper holder doesnât hold⊠We stayed 4 nights and it served its purpose, but one roll of toilet paper?? Thankfully, we were on the top floor, so the noise from other visitors was minimal. This was the first VRBO where we didnât feel welcomed or anticipated. it wasnât terrible or nasty⊠just âmehâ⊠thanks.
The location to the beach was nice and we liked being on that end of the strip; but the confusion about whether the pier was included was disappointing. The runoff pool behind was a bit yucky. One toilet didnât turn off. The toilet paper roll fell off the cabinet when trying to get toilet paper. The bathtubs didnât drain well, so we stood in gross water while trying to get cleaned up. The sliding glass door wouldnât open on its tracks. One of the chairs on the porch had a broken slat so you couldnât sit in it. When walking on the floor, our feet turned black. The price we paid was already more than others in the area, and when all the fees were added, it made the price way more than it was worth.
The condo was very cute and clean. The pool was very nice and beach access was close. I failed to notice there were no elevators on property which was a challenge for my mother.
The place was easy to get to, we enjoyed our stay. I would say that the only downside if any because it's a great location and has amenities would be that the walls are a little thin and you can hear your neighbors. But otherwise, it's defilingly a wonderful little place to enjoy with your family.
